Ok, so something you all have obviously wanted, state your opinions here about what console sucks and why and what console is the best, don't hold anything back you pansies

I'll start us off. I own a 360, wii, and psp...would like to own a ps3 as well. Something a hate about the 360 is the RRoD...fuckin retarded, however I really get tired of the sony fanboys "oh blu ray is so awesome....I wish I could make love to it"... or comments about how 360 games suck, when obviously the 360 has superior titles to the ps3. Previously Mass Effect was 360 exclusive, but ps3 now gets the honor to play that game as well. Still the 360 owns the halo series, fable series, gears of war series, alan wake...oh and btw graphics are fuckin identical between the 360 and ps3...so don't give me that shit, whatcha got bitches!!

I had a gameboy advance a long time ago, a PSP, playstation two and a playstation 3.
I'm pretty statisfied with the consoles I have, except for my PSP >.<

It's actually my 3th one is only 3 years... The quality really sucks ^^' My first one suddenly stopped working after only 2 years and then I bought a second one.. Okay, I didn't treat my second one too well xD There was sand in it, so it was bgone too... After that I let my first one 'repair' (I got actually a new one), and sometimes it's just acting a little odd (I wanna start it, but then it looks like the batteries are empty) xD

Lets see own a Wii, DS, PS3, PSP and MegaDrive (which I want to get rehooked to my tv)

TBH besides a few games I know there is no difference between a PS3 and 360, you like Halo and the other exclusives then get a 360 if you like God of war or the Sony exclusives get that. The reason I got a PS3 was simply because I wanted to play MGS4 and Ratchet and Clank and even though I played on Halo 1 and 2 (and played 3) at a friends I never found it a compelling enough game to fork over my money on a console for (Master Chief, couldn't care, the ending could have been he died of space aids and I wouldn't give 2 s*its). ...So yeah thats why I have a PS3 over a 360, Blu Ray is ok but only if you really enjoy films and have a HD tv.

PSP is a pretty great and underrated piece of kit, it has some great titles and it's on the go thats a great bonus. Sure some people with home only consoles want the exclusives to be redone for them with better graphics, but if companies did that then what would be the point of owning a PSP.

Wii...well it's Nintendo, none of the other consoles have games that are as enjoyable and unquie as the Nintendo Wii line up and neither of them ever will. LBP comes close but still nothing beats running around a space park as a blue hedgehog for me. Sure it's had a ton of shovel ware, but what can you expect seeing as though it was the only console of this generation to actually make a REAL innovation. And don't give me any of that "but Microsoft have the Kinect and SONY have the Move now" both of those companies had more then enough money to start off with a console that had the graphics and take a risk with a new control style, but instead the only company that has game sale based profits where the ones to make the risk and sacrifice graphics in the process. The only reason SONY and Microsoft have made their motion control is to make some of the money that others have had from Wii party games.

Well, from an observation standpoint, I have to say the PS3 has captured my attention far more than the 360. Wii is balanced, has a handful of great games, as well as a handful of shitty games.

So far, since I have no job or money, I own an 8 year old PS2, and a zombie PSP. Literally, my PSP is a zombie, it was broken beyond repair, and through black magic, I revived it and it works perfectly.

Now, since Sony has never let me down in entertaining games and until quite recently, held the FF series all to itself for a few years, I side with them. If I cared about graphics at all, I'd say they were awesome, but the 360 is pretty much a twin, so they're both really very even in graphics...these are facts.

I have never actually even touched a PS3 controller, but have had many chances to play a 360 since everyone in Texas absolutely loves Microsoft's Manly Man games. So, I've turned down just as many chances to play the 360, cause any game with only ape grunting, grenade launchers and a shit story, turn me off.

Saying that, the 360 has some games that got me hooked the moment I turned on the system, Left 4 Dead is a great example, nothing better than an overly macabre FPS. The 360 also has the capability of being a computer by itself, it supports Torrent and Netflix, both you can hack without having to pay a thing, which made me giggle. But the 360 doesn't have as many fantasy (as far as MY definition goes) related games, so I have little interest in it.

Blu-Ray? Don't care, I mean the only movie I'd play on it just for the sake of SEEING it, is Advent Children: Complete. Like graphics, I couldn't give two shits over high definition. Video isn't NEAR as important to me as Audio, as long as the voice work isn't terrible and the music is decent, the game/movie is worth it.

The thing that scares me about both systems is the Red Ring and the Yellow Light of Death. Both of them have pretty sensitive software, but according to the store clerks at my local GameStop say that the 360 is way more prone to malfunction than the PS3. So, once I get the money, I'm getting a PS3.

As for the Wii, I'm not interested, my buddy has one and we play it often, it has tons of perks, but I don't see any reason to get my own when we play his every single morning before school.

The PSP is my favorite system that I own, the PS2 is still entertaining, but they aren't releasing anything else for it anymore. The PSP has a myriad of fantastic, underrated games on it, and I get sick and tired of the platform owners complaining about it cause of the low quality graphics. Seriously, the only things I play games for are Story, Music, and sometimes, Gameplay. I still play SNES games even though the graphics are considered shitty today, point is the games are fun and the stories are fantastic.
Saying that, the PSP has just as many problems as the platforms do, with the added disadvantage of dropping it. The Slim is reported to survive better than the Phat does, ironically, but the Slim has no chance for Custom Firmware, so if you like to hack, go with the brick. The PSP also has a sensitive LED screen, and if you break THAT, then you'd better dig deep through your wallet to fix it.

So, in conclusion, the game with the better story in the game is the winner, and obviously, imo, Sony takes the cake...but it's a lie...

Overall console choice for me is the Wii, if I couldn't play Brawl anymore whenever I wanted I would be a sad panda

And for me it goes Gameplay, Game hours, Extras, Story, Music, Hidden Content and maybe Graphics

I could live the rest of my life without ever so much as looking at Brawl being played again. Get to play it every single morning cause Zane loves it and he has Rule 63 textures on it.

i own an Xbox360, 2 DS (one can't turn on... the other is falling apart... literally... but still works).... i had a PS3 but never got a chance to even play it.... and i'd buy a PSP but would only buy 2 (maybe 3) games....

in my opinion... the ps3 and the 360 are identical almost... graphics... never seen a difference.... games, yes i wish there wasn't console exclusive stuff as there are plently of PS3 only games i want!...

blue-ray.... don't give a crap.... i don't own a HD tv... so theres no point in them......

Xbox Kinect, Playstation Move.... eh.... IF i ever bought one it would be the Kinect.... i'd rather not have to hold a remote thingy....

The Nintendo Wii.... hated it.... thats all i can say...

my comment about this is.... they are not rip off of the wii... because the wii is a rip off itself.... loads of people think the nintendo wii invented the motion control thingy.. they didn't... that technology has been around FOR YEARS!.... i mean it was around before this but.. the SEGA GENASIS had a motion control thingy.... granted... it sucked balls! but it still existed....

And PS2 even had the Eye Toy, piece-o-shit, you ask me.

The Wii is fine, I don't love or hate it, Nintendo games aren't necessarily my thing, but I still like some of them, so the Wii is just...there, to me

Nope I love all the consoles equally, but i do admit that in terms of games themselves, I tend to sway towards the 360.
Also, I have a PSP-1000 running 6.31 firmware, I honestly have no idea how this thing is still operating, it should have died a long time ago, but its a trooper, i like that.

On a Side Note: In a recent study it is determined that a modern day Desktop Computer is approximately 1 generation ahead of modern gaming systems.

I've never touched the PC for gaming, I tried playing Diablo II for about a month, got to Lut Gholein (however you spell it) and just put it down. I can't sit at a computer for games, the position of holding my hands to the keyboard makes my wrists hurt.

PS3- This is the system I would like more than the 360 but that is because the exclusives are games I really love like God of War, Resistance: Fall of Man and Infamous. Blu-Ray playing is a plus but I don't have the money to spend for it so meh. I wish for backwards compatability like the PS2 had but my PS2 works fine so I'll stick to PS3 games for the system, I feel like being a Dinosaur I'll grab my PS2.

PSP- It's a fun handheld but doesn't have a lot of games I really want to play all the time. Yeah, the music and movie thing is a plus but we ALL have ipod's. What's the point of wasting memory on those when we should use the system for GAMES? It's good to link to PSN and get some PS Classics and stuff to personallize the home screen. The only thing that really pisses me off about the system sometimes is the load times, it's retarded. I played Birth By Sleep and spent most of my playtime WAITING FOR THE GAME TO LOAD. So you have to use up more memory on the dainty ass 2 Gig Memory Card so the game runs faster and there's hardely enough data to save anything else to the card.

Wii- Family friendly. I have one but it sits in the living room and collects dust. I tried getting some games to make it more useful but I ended up playing my old Gamecube Games rather than the ones I bought. Plus the motion controls are not my friend, ever. It's hard for me to move that stupid remote. I like playing with a controller. Wii fanboys are retarded and believe that Nintendo is the only company to buy games from. I get it, Mario is still alive after all these years. I still don't like Mario games.

DS- I find this superior to the PSP because it's more creative. The PSP is a playstation on the go, the DS went the extra mile and added touch controls and an extra screen but without it straining too far away from the Gameboy Advance. It's got a wide variety of games. Although not as graphically amazing as the PSP, the DS beats the PSP with more creative games. The DS is a Puzzle Lover's dream machine.

360- Has great games that I like but the RRoD is retarded and the developers STILL haven't fixed it? What the fuck Microsoft? I thought you guys saw yourselves as "Brainiacs", why the fuck is this problem still not solved. PS3 had a moment of fuck up but it was FIXED IN A DAY. You have to send your 360 to Mircosoft, pay them to fix their mistake and wait nearly 2 months to get the fucking thing back. I'd rather just destroy the system and buy a PS3. I do like some of the exclusives but Halo sucks, there are vastly superior and more creative shooters out there. Then the other games are on PS3 so PS3>360.

PC- Great games but it's hard for me to playsome games with a mouse and the keyboard. And don't give me the, "Buy a Joystick and junk" because that's just as bad. I personally don't like stricktly PC gamers because they believe themselves to be superior to every other person on Earth because they play Team Fortress 2 daily. PC is full of "Indy Games" and although some are fantastic, others are just knockoffs from games on other consoles.

Cellphone/Ipod- Awful. I would never spend money on these because it's too fucking hard to play them on your phone's tiny ass screen and extreme lag.

when it comes to FPS' yea PC gamers are superior...so much easier to aim with a mouse than a joystick and also easier to aim and move at the same time with the mouse+keyboard combo than a controller.

Joysticks are all I can aim with, the mouse is super sensitive and all around funky when it comes to FPSs. I tried playing Left 4 Dead and couldn't hit shit for about 2 hours on EASY, then went back to the 360 and kicked the shit out of Normal zombies cause I got pissed off at it. It's just easier for me to get headshots with a joystick than fumbling around with a mouse trying to hit, period.

as for the 360 RRoD, the new "slim" models don't have that problem anymore, not that it matters, bc by now everyone either has a 360 or ps3, but for ppl who don't this is a plus

actually... that thing about the 'slim' 360's not having the RRoD is false... they still have the same problems... but don't get the RRoD.... they just removed the red lights.... lol

Halo is great for mp, solid story, too short, overhyped but still fun as hell online

I like Halo reach because it has the RPG element of creating a Spartan and using it in Story Mode AND multiplayer, which you have to admit is a really awesome addition.

ya I did like that as well, even tho it takes a ton of credits to make your Spartan look cool, and it takes forever to level up online

Waste of time to me, character creation has always been a thorn in my side.

no way, it gives you so much more freedom to do what you want imo, but most games that offer it come with a default character to use anyways like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, some bethesda games, etc
