The Soundtrack(Both CT and CC) Empty The Soundtrack(Both CT and CC)

Post by Erel Tue Apr 09, 2013 1:47 pm

To some the music is what made these games. I humbly disagree because although the two have a very prominent difference, both have pros and cons(the latter game more than the first, in my opinion), the two of them are great games to their own right. Now I won't tangent off and start talking about gameplay, characters, story, etc etc. I'm going to just mildly touch on the soundtrack. To capsulize my feelings, I think they're both nostalgic. BOTH strike emotions of joviality, somber, battle ready, so forth and so forth. They're just great.

I received CT's soundtrack for the last Christmas that just passed and by God did it age rather well. I listened to it almost everyday for two months straight and it's only recently that I gave it a break(though I still play "Epilogue" and "Green Memories" as a form of 'lullaby' for my unborn daughter just about every night; amongst other FF lullaby related music). I will probably be purchasing CC's sometime soon. Just on the ambivalence in regards to WHICH to buy: Xenogears or Chrono Cross... I think the answer is clear, but again, weighing the options.

I'm biased here, but Chrono Cross may be my second favorite soundtrack of all time. I just love it.

I'm biased as well because I think Chrono Cross' soundtrack is bland in comparison to the first game. None of the music ever stood out to me aside from fighting FATE; plus rehearing Lucca's Theme for every fucking thing you do looses it's charm after the 10th time.

I forgot Lucca's theme was in there and youtubed it. Nostalgia! I went on and started listening to some of the music and suffice to say, I just bought it 5 min ago.

"Another World" is a good one; it has a somber lullaby to it that can be on the line of sad and at the same time soothing. Reminds me of 'Epilogue'. Radical Dreamers with the vocals is good(despite the fact that I do not understand the what she is saying). Kids' theme, fragment of dream indeed is a good one.

Between Xenogears and Chrono Cross, Cross for sure has more songs to be enamored by. I'm more than elated to get this burned to my macbook and listen to them as I write the night away!

Congrats. Not to be redundant, but every child is different, but from my experience, a daughter is like no other; or should I say, the first child is a cathartic feeling.

and that is nostalgia; Having CD helps create a lullaby playlist for the little on as I have said. lol
