As continued from your last discussion of Hope.

I don't like him either, he sucks at battles. Has low HP too.

I didn't mind his weapon at first when you start the game, but now I'm past Odin I hate using him.

Yeah. HOpe..... screw him. And I finally got control of Lightning again!!!

Few things I just realized about the battle system.... the Paradigm shift... that's the freakin Dressphere system in the FFX-2 but less flashy, more critical, and everyone changes at the same time! Then of course the Crystarium level system reminds me of Sphere grid.

heh. Loving this game. So addicting.

Ha ! I finally defeated Shiva after 5 times !!! xD (okay, I cheated a little ;P)
And I was thinking the same thing about that Paragram shift :3 I think it's much better then the dress phere-thingie, since it's way faster and without all that long change-video-stuff.

Well, Hope. I'm not a fan of him either :/ He's kinda boring, hehe

Yeah it kind of gives you a tip during the tutorial about it about the whole "The shiva sisters are weak against defense" so you just shift to the Sentinel Paradigm and your set to go.

so far i love this battle system, it is a classic feel, but with new modern, and challenging touches, it is fast paced and the paradigms are cool, the only thing i dont like is the game over if your leader dies. Vanille doesn't bug me, although her voice is awkward, im diggin fang so far.

i hate the bombs in ch.4, what is a good paradigm set to take them out without them blowing up? Ive tried slash and burn, and dualcasting, not that it matters since im past them now

Anyone else the bombs are a total disgrace off our OG bombs???

They're a pain in the ass if you don't kill em, yet they don't resemble our old bombs back in the old FFs....

don't let them fully heal up with their attacks. If you notice they start with half health and if they fully heal they blow up.

Use Libra, Smiles. And just check out what he reacts well against in terms of gestalt.

I'll give you a hint; Hope has one good use in this battle while Lightning does what she does best. Staying alive is the key.

I used both of Lightning and Hope with the same Paradigm (which you need to use of course ) It took me 3 tries to figure it out Smiles, your not the only one.

Now with your next fight with an Eidolon, The one thing I want to say is that remember the elements.

Remember the fact that boosting characters is a MUST. And I cannot stress enough that {helped me a lot anyways} Haste, Faith, Bravery, and the *certain* element to cast on your weapon is a MUST.

Different people will have different ways to go about it but that's mine.

as far as odin goes, i just used fortisol before battle and then use war and peace to heal his initial attack, then hit him hard when his shield goes up, also equip a spark ring or two, and the fight will end in less than five minutes

Well if u do is the en- skills your synergist will automatically do the best one possible, so you really don't have to worry about it.

for Bahamut, all i am gonna say is goodluck ^^ took me 3 tries only but the first two ended in less than a minute

Yeah I think Bahamut is my next guy. I'm about to rescue 2 important people. I'm staying around and leveling up and getting a whole lot of gil so I can upgrade weapons and get more crystarium points.

How the hell does anyone deafeat bloody Dysley. I use Hope, Light and Sazh get down to two heads left (3 with Dysley) and one after the other it's "Waterga" "Firaga" "Waterga" and so on....it pisses me off! >.< Syn's are good for the attacks but they just attack too much. *sigh*

took me 2 tries. For me, did a lot of paradigm shift. I had combat clinic shift specificaly for the moment when I knew he was to bombard me with spells. Summoning helped me out when only Lightning was alive.

Bahamut was easier than I thought btw.

havent got that far, just beat the two forms of the Ushumal dude and that flying air tank thing, im beginning ch.8

I didn't know why I didn't think of it sooner. I just used opposite spells to the ones they were casting XD
