Persona 3 and 4

I'm looking for good games I don't already own for PS2 and I heard these two games are loved by gamers and by critics. I wanna know, are they worth my time and money?

They certainly worth it Cap'n!! Love both of those game. Almost like a mix between RPG and dating sim. Persona 3 contain somewhat a darker story and p4 is somewhat more cheerful.
Oh, and Persona 3 Portable allow you to chose a female main character.

ive never actually played em but my friend plays them and she says there amazing games ^^ which im gonna buy them when i get the money

I've only ever played Persona 1 and I thought that was good. Haven't played the rest of them though so I wouldn't know. You could always buy them, try them and then return them if they aren't that good.
