Studio Ghibli
I can't believe no one else had posted this here so I thought I should. Who else loves Studio Ghibli?
I recently got round to finishing my collection of all the films. I'm that geeky I even have a Totoro purse and a Jiji (Kiki's delivery service) alarm clock.

Yay! Larcy likes Ghibli!
I'm jealous that there isn't a Catbus around here.

heh, my favorite is Spirited Away
But Totoro came close, I only realize after seeing it for the second time that the lamp from the catbus is actually the cat's eye >_<

Re: Studio Ghibli
@Taintz: Yeah, I just found that out. I did think for a while that it was because a friend asked if I liked Miyazaki and put Akira on. My bad :B
Eh, Howl's was one of the weaker ones. The progression of the story was awful and the whole ending felt so rushed. It did have a very interesting setting and cast of characters but Howl was pretty mediocre (Plus Christian Bale should never voice for anything until he learns to act well in front of a mic).
The book is probably better because a novel can be like 500 pages and still be interesting while with a film you have to get as much of the story as possible shoved into at least 3 hours and still make sure the story still makes sense.

Re: Studio Ghibli
Yeah that's true. It sucks sometimes when they make films out of books as you never get the good parts that you liked within the book. I'm always willing to read a book so I'll give Ghibli's a go.

I'm so glad someone started this. I'm a huge fan of studio ghibli. Porco Rosso is my stand out favourite, i never got the chance to see howl's moving castle though. Might have to be an online job.
