Microsoft is so stupid i feel like i could scream.

Ok, so here i am in south carolina, hundreds of miles away with no way to communicate with him, but then i realize, "hello, you both have Xbox usernames" so then I'm like "AWESOME! now i can finally stay in touch." So i sign in to the xbox website and when i look up my friends profile i get "Only GOLD members can send messages to friends and other gamers." Then i get all angry and pissed because of how retarded it is that if i want to even say "Hi man, how ya doing?" I have to go BUY a damn xbox live card, honestly MS needs to wise up and let free members talk with they're friends. What do you think of Microsoft's Xbox Live policies?

(Sorry for the rant style of the post, i'm just furious because this is the only way i can think of to talk to him, and I cant even do that because of corporate f***ing greed!)

I understand where you are coming from, but honestly, I don't think gold is too expensive, it ends up being 5 bucks a month, plus you get a ton of new features you can use

Sending messages has always been free for silver members on Xbox Live ....the thing is that you have to be a gold member to send messages from xbox.com though which is just wrong if you ask me.

yeah and considering my Xbox died, so i cant send messages from that, i have to use Xbox Live.com, which is where the problem lies.
