Who's Your Main?

Who is your main in Dissidia and why?

Mine are Tidus and Cecil, when I first chose Tidus, it was just cause he's awesome and X is my favorite FF in the world. Cecil is my secondary just cause I'm better with Tidus, I wanna be better with Cecil just cause he's my favorite character out of any Final Fantasy, even more than Rikku, and that's saying a lot.

In order with reasons

1) Cloud - I've maxed him out and found him the best to use (for my fighting style) also he's my favourite final Fantasy character, its a shame that Advent Children ruined him though

2) Squall - Like fighters with quick moves, Squalls moves are pretty quick so thats why I like him

3) Sephiroth - Same reason as Squall

Which is why I only use the Normal costume.

I dont mind the costume, but its a reminder of how much they have buggered up his character. Also you cant beat the old purple Soldier uniform.

I think they should have given Cloud a 3rd secret costume as a joke, even though I wouldn't have EVER used it (with the 3rd Costume being very obvious *cough* womens clothes *cough*)

I would use Cloud if they put in that costume, it's my PSP background. xD

I use Zidane... he has alot of good aerial attacks and I ussually spend most of my time jumping around anyway so... yea...

I honestly thought that they would make Cloud a bad character but he is pretty good... I'm able to do alot more with him then I thought I could... actually... now that I think about it... cloud, squall, zidane, and tidus are my best characters... which is pretty sad actually...

but Warrior of Light is a great character too and probably my second fav... though he's not as durable as I'd like...

I don't understand how you could use Cecil... he's the one I had the hardest time with...

Hmmm... If my PSP is going to be fixed soon, I'd still say Zidane
I just like the character... Together with Tidus. But Zidane is just easier to fight with in my opinion.

At first my main was Terra, I was winning every battle with her.

Now I switch between, Cecil, Light, Frion, Squall and Tidus.

If I ever get to play this game I gotta say I will have the most fun with Jecht.

Jecht is my favorite kind of fighter and that's the heavy hitter/ass kicker guy who, even though not to fast, when he gets you you're dead. Garland is up there as well then as an FF9 and FF6 fan I will try Zidane, Kuja, Terra and Kefka if I can stand their attrocious voice acting.

In Paladin mode, chasing people down is no problem with Searchlight, you can also chain it to Paladin Force. In Dark Knight, he's deadly at close range. He can also chain his combos to freely change classes. But I had to train with him for a while before getting the hang of it, so if you can't use him, I understand.

you can argue with me all you want about it I still think Cecil's a loser character... and my friend Kevin who was SO in love with Cecil's character got his @$$ whooped on a daily basis by me and Zidane... so anyone who wants to step up to the challenge can try if they want...

to make a point with the above quote..it depends on your play style as well. Cecil is one of the more difficult characters to master in Dissidia due to his two forms, which paladin is meant for aerial comboing and dark knight is meant for ground comboing. Zidane is a fast character, and which means if cecil's dark knight misses in his attacks(which are slow combo's but strong) Zidane could easily defeat him. You got find the character ur right with..and ur probably not that good with Cecil..didn't mean that offensively. here let me rephrase...he isn't ur play style.

For me its a tie between Firion and Cecil. But i mainly use Firion.

ohhh... I never took it personally... I'm just very competitive when it comes to these kinds of games... I'm always challenging people and the characters they like... even if I'm not even all that good... I hope I didn't seem like too much of an asshole though... (I just reread my comments... lol...)

Nah nah, i am the same way as well. Espically when i play online on Soul Caliber 4 xD! so no need to apologize.

I main Jecht, and after whipping ass with him for so long, I start to wonder why he's Mid Tier. >_> Second I main Cecil, Tidus and Kefka. I like to use Kefka just cause his Wabbly Waggle Firaga is the best punishing move I've found. lol Tidus is a great character because of his speed and countering prowess, he's also a kewl character. And Jecht is a great character once you master the combos, took me about a week, now all my friends are afraid to fight me. And I main Cecil as a secondary because he's just my favorite (male) FF character, been that way since I first played IV. ^-^

Cloud of Darkness - Even though she is really suppose to chip off HP than get bravery, I still reckon she is pretty versatile. And the fact she has 0-Form and Wrath make it even better!

Shantotto - I told myself when I first got it that I definitely don't want to have Shantotto as a main/secondary, mainly because of her voice, but also how you need bravery to get her Tier 2/3 spells and her ULTRA lag time. But when I decided to level her up to LV 100, I started getting use to her voice, and did not spam HP attacks so she'd be punished. I found strategy's with her and decided to use her. And I like her Ex Mode as well.

Changed my main list to something I didn't see coming...

Jecht: probably will always be my main, but can't use him for online battle.
Squall: Didn't think I would be so rape with him, but his speed and combos are difficult to ignore.
Sephiroth: NEVER, EVER thought this would happen, but he has excellent combos and one hell of a reach! Almost useless EX Mode.
Ultimecia: FUCKING SEXY AND ONE HELL OF A FIGHTER!!! Apocalypse is the perfect attack to get people running away, especially if coupled with Time Crush.

Main: Warrior of Light
Secondary: Garland
Third: Shanttoto

Known for Knocking them heroes down and uniting them subsequently.

my main character is Cloud because i can use him the best and i knw all the moves and hes from 1 of my fave final fantasys :L

Cloud is the one character I almost never lose to, all of his attacks, with exception for Double Cut, are sooooooooo easy to block. >_>

Kuja, yup, after playing IX for a while, I realized how much I like this guy, still not great with him, but I'm using him a lot!

Bartz, many reasons, mostly because he is so balanced, only flaw I find to his style is his lack of a decent HP attack outside of EX Mode, aside from Soul Eater.

Cloud, um...yeah. Trying to get better with him, raping computers, but that's about it.
