I've been replaying the first KH for the last two days, and I've already beaten the story portion in 17 hours.

Was anyone aware that the game was that short?

Pfff, no idea actually xD I'm still trying to beat it, but since I fail I can't beat the last bosses xD I'm stuck with the end. *ahem*

I actually spent a long time on the game because I'm a completest plus when you first play a game, you make a shit ton of mistakes and risky moves so I had so many gameovers. I beat the story in about 30-40 hours then I went back and did EVERYTHING and I am at 90 somthing hours the last time I played it (sometime in 2003-2004).

Makes sense, I just got the Ultima Weapon, mostly out of OCD. I don't plan on getting lvl 100, not worth it and it takes too much time. I can already kill Sephy where I'm at, anyway.
