Easier Seymour Battles
I feel obligated to help in case no one else knows of this. But here is a couple tips on how to completely obliterate Seymour's strategy.
First, this works for Seymour, Seymour Natus and Seymour Omnis(not that you'll need it. >_>). Seymour has a spell pattern concerning his elemental spells. Usually he starts off with Blizzard or Water spells. After he casts a single spell, you can anticipate his pattern immediately. He casts elemental spells in this order, so set your Nul spells accordingly.
Blizzard, Thunder, Water, Fire. Yuna should be in your party at all times, needless to say.
Second, this works for Seymour Flux and Natus, pretty much if he has the Mortibody with him. The Mortibody is a target you should focus on at the beginning of the battle if you don't have any party members with high attack power. If you can take it out, it will take 4,000 HP from Seymour twice, but afterward, it'll take away 3,000 to 2,000 to 1,000. After that, you need to focus solely on Seymour. Note: if the Mortibody ever casts Cura on Seymour, keep Reflect cast on Seymour.
Third, this is the easiest way, I think. Simply start out with all your Aeon's Overdrives. Don't use Yuna's to Grand Summon, because it takes very little time to build up the Aeon's gauges beforehand, also, Seymour will take them out after one turn. You won't do too much damage to Seymour Flux without Break Damage Limit, which you shouldn't have till you're against Seymour Omnis.
Fourth, stack up a bunch of Remedies and give your characters Auto-Med, it's a lifesaver against Flux.
Simple strategies, but I'm sure there are more, get a more hardcore player to give you more.

I go under the impression that you shouldn't have BDL at all during the main story. It seriously makes the game more of a joke than it already is.
And the attack pattern has been known about pretty much since day 1...

CURSE YOU FOR POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS!!! >.<
Some had to find out for themselves. This is for those who haven't played.

Re: Easier Seymour Battles
But surely going straight to someones guide without playing is just... plain stupid?
Re: Easier Seymour Battles
Not if you're like me and like to know what you're doing beforehand. I don't think it's smart to run in without at least an idea of what to do. Of course, I hardly ever come up with a strategy of my own for anything.
Re: Easier Seymour Battles
But then you're not playing the game yourself, and it'll just be pointless.
At least try the fight without any external help.
SMT:Lucifer's Call (SMT:Nocturne for you U-S-of-A people) on Hard mode, without a guide. Now THAT'S hard.

Re: Easier Seymour Battles
But not actually playing them and just following a guide is even worse, no?
Might as well just watch a Lets Play on youtube.

@TW, ah, I see what you're saying, now. Well, if anything, people can use this as a reference if their strategy doesn't work. Seriously, though, I was completely unaware of Evrae being vulnerable to Blind. .___. Perhaps I shouldn't be the person to go to...
I can't watch LPs, if anything, they're good for a laugh, all of the LPers are extremely emotional when it comes to gaming. >_>
