Tekken (series) Empty Tekken (series)

Post by Zane the pure Thu Feb 10, 2011 6:05 pm

I have been looking at this series lately, and would love to actually play one.

The characters I'm looking at right now are: (debut appearance)
Lars Alexandersson (6)
Hwarong (3)
Steve Fox (4)
Yoshimitsu (1)

Anyone here played much of Tekken? I'd love to hear you're input.

I have played them before, but I really didn't get much into it. It is your typical fighter really....I am more of a Soul Caliber/Edge fan

yep there is that rivalry xD

I have played all but Soul edge, and love all of them, but I've maybe played 2 minutes of Tekken 5 and the arcade stick was broken...
left was right kick. And I watched nemo play a bit.

The only Tekken I really got into was Tekken Tag Tournament, and I don't remember much of it. I remember that I loved to use Hwarong, Yoshimitsu and Jin. I'd like to give this series another chance if I had the systems compatible, or if I could find another copy of Tekken Tag.

I used to play Tekken quite a bit, when I played fighting games...the stories were somewhat interesting, I used Jag, Jin, and Yoshimitsu was cool too

Fighting games like Tekken and virtual fighter for some reason left me with no skill. I sucked at Tekken, thus why I stuck with Street Fighter and SNK.

I'm pretty sure Tekken 4 & 5 are on PS2 and 5&6 are on PSP

Fighting games on the PSP with exception for Dissidia and Blazblue feel dry to me. I'm never touching Soul Calibur after the serious steroid increase for the men and women.

Anyway, I'm not particularly interested in this game anymore, I mean it'd be nice to feel a little nostalgia with Tekken Tag, but that's about all I would get out of it.

I meant with the way it's going. The old one I'd play again, but for only five minutes till I get sick of the gameplay.

Rented Tekken 6 this weekend.
Sexy so far, I've been raping with Lars and Hwoarang. Haven't played Steve Fox yet, and haven't tried Yoshimitsu.

Gonna get the PSP version to own ASAP.

Nice group of VAs, though I didnt recognize their voice in Tekken...

Played 3 on ps1, 4-5 on ps2, and 6 on psp. My fav character on all them is Hwoarang. Some others are pretty good (Nina, Lars, Alisa (this one is... unique), Bryan, Lee) but no one can compare to the tae kwon do master! Very Happy
