New Heroes of Earth

Hey everyone! I just made my first RP! It's about superheroes and junk! Check it out!:

There is something off about the town of West Hillside, NJ

Eons ago, before the first forms of life upon this planet were found, something came down to this planet. To the naked eye, one would immediately presume it was a meteor, the earth was still forming, so this wouldn't be too strange. However, this meteor was unlike most. It acted as a beacon, drawing in strange entities and cosmic powers beyond our understanding. Through time, the earth cooled,life on earth began, the continents took shape, and the world became the one we know today. But traces of this ancient meteor remained, just below the earth, right underneath this small suburban town. And for the first time in history, pieces of this meteor have reached the earth's surface.

It is the year 2012. It is a turbulent time, and the world is now experiencing something that no one thought could ever be possible: Super powered human beings. The origins of these being still remain a mystery, they remain extremely elusive to all who seek them, and barely any have been seen at all. Barely anything is known about these mysterious figures, but people have begun to take notice

In the small town of West Hillside, NJ, lies 2 large schools, one is Stablebrook Academy, a prestigious high school/middle school and one of the finest private schools in the state, the other is South Hillside University, a university applauded for it's wide range of majors and its well funded sports teams. It is at this high school, however, that we see that the entire school will be visiting the University for an annual traditional festival at the beginning of the year to celebrate the end of summer, conducted each year to commemorate the start of the new school year. A small group of students from this school head over to a secluded part of the University's grounds, away from the eyes of the other students or anyone from the college, to get away from the events of the festival for a little while. While over there,the students notice a small, strange looking rock protruding from the ground. One of them decides to investigate this strange stone and decides to touch it. The second his finger touches the rock, it makes a small, blinding explosion, hitting the students with a bright light. When they turn back towards the stone, they realize it has vanished, and where it once stood there is only dirt. The students decide to pretend the incident never happened and return to the festival as if everything was normal. However, over the course of the next week, each of the students start to experience strange changes, and one by one they start to realize that they've gained superhuman powers! They decide to meet up again the next week of school to talk about what's happened, and what they should do with these strange new abilities.

I added weakness to avoid any overpowered characters. These are high school kids who just got powers,they are not super god-mode badasses off the bat. Finally, the point of this is to have fun, so lets keep it that way! I'll be posting my own character info shortly. Excelsior, true believers!

Name: Persephone Kore goes by Perse pronounced (pursy)

Grade:senior
Personality: she has a very outgoing personality but since her new found power she is becoming less physical with people but still outspoken and still a hopeless romantic. she loves to sing dance and read. she is very smart and not the least bit naive.
Appearance:
Powers:perfect acrobatic skills, and can drain energy with the slightest touch of her poisoned skin (like rogue, i love her ^_^) but like usual it only lasts for a short period of time
Weakness(Physical or mental): she cant handle fire, and can be intimidated by anyone she cares about if they try to touch her. anything like firestone can weaken and hurt her severely. silver will also cause her pain and suffering even the smell of it nauseates her.

Gender: Male
Grade: High School Senior
Age: 17
Personality: Courageous, hotheaded, likes to get his way, honorable, fun loving, ladies man.
Appearance: Dirty Blonde, Messy hair, Skinny but fit, 5'11”, Green eyes, Usually wears a red leather jacket and jeans, black t-shirt underneath, belt with unusual yellow belt buckle and aviators
Powers: Able to use abilities used against him (Example: if burnt by a fireball, gains fire abilities, if shocked by electricity, gains lightning powers, if smacked by a steel hammer, can turn body into steel and manipulate his body into different steel shapes) These powers vary in time limits. Fast healing to compensate for this power, but still feels pain from wounds. If shot with energy type abilities (Ex: fire or lightning) can use that ability with twice as much power, at the cost of only having those powers for half as long. If direct physical contact is made between him and another super powered individual, he can gain that individuals powers for a short time
Weakness(Physical or Mental): Without being attacked, has no powers whatsoever, all powers he has must be gained from outside influences.

Name: Diana (DiDi) Hayse
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Grade: Junior
Personality: she’s the typical child protégée, good grades, head of the class, and also a bit of a prima donna. Though most see her at school that way, she’s actually very conscience about what others think and is really drowning in all the pressure from her family to be the next star of the family.
Appearance: She’s almost 5’8 with long auburn hair that comes down in wavy curls, a lean, slim figure and forest green eyes. Normally wears jeans and whatever shirt that will make her look good for the day but usually sticks to simple name brand shirts if nothing else.
Powers: Telekinesis and also energy field projection in the form of a shield.
Weakness(Physical or mental): Physical attacks can wear her down and her sheild can’t last forever. Since most of her powers really on her mental state the only real way to incapacitate her is to screw with her mind.
