What did you think about the ending and the game? Spoilers allowed in this thread. I will put my thoughts in later.

I thought that it was very interesting. It basically set up the whole parallel worlds storyline and tied them together in a shocking twist. Booker and Comstock were the same person. I think that infinite did things that Final Fantasy 13-2 tried to do, but did them ten times better. In some aspects it was similar to Chrono Trigger and Cross, but not exactly. There wasn't time travel in the sense of decades or centuries, more like a few years, and a few key decisions made by Booker. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting, but that is a good thing.

I felt the ending was amazing and after replaying the game again recently picked up on all the subtle foreshadowing that leads to the big pay off (one thing on my first playthrough that I didn't even catch was Booker's explanation for where his "Misses Comstock" is (he mentions that she died during childbirth (something that couldn't happen because Comstock's exposure to the tears had gave him tumours and made him sterile) and when asked if he has a child by Elizabeth he simply states no)). The biggest kicker that I simply forgot myself was Booker's first nose bleed when he encounters Comstock for the first time.

Even the subtitle was given a great explanation (speaking of which I really wish they called it AeroShock or SkyShock (but I digress)), on a whole the story was just perfect. I especially liked the side plot with the Vox and showing that either side was just as violent and out of control as the other.

I also love how the tears leaked things from the future into the columbia, most importantly the technology from rapture to make songbird and 80's pop songs.

I think the main thing that helped the plot though was having Booker and Elizabeth always conversing and talking, the dialogue is some of the most enjoyable I have come across in a game and really helped develop the characters. Here's hoping the trend will continue in the DLC packs that will be released.

I've been dying to reply to this but I'm a tad busy. Tomorrow expect my big ol' gushfest for this amazing piece of art.
