Your Mains Advantages and weaknesses
We all have a main but lets be honest no character is without fault in a fighting game, so list what you think are advantages to your main and which are the points that would hinder you in a match
for me its
My Main - Cloud Strife
Advantages
During EX mode bravery attacks are more powerful depending on health
Has the most powerful EX attack (regarding the above point)
Has two easy to connect HP moves (finishing touch and Omnislash 5)
His Sonic Blade can easily start a chase
The direction of launch for his main aerial bravery (the one that links to Omnislash) can be decided (by holding up or down)
Has the easiest Ultimate Weapon to unlock (in my opinion)
Disadvantages
Slow HP attacks
HP moves can easily be overpowered (example Octoslash beats Braver)
Only one Aerial HP attack (not counting Omnislash 5)
Aerial Braverys are rather difficult to pull off (accept the one that Links to Omnislash)

All of Cloud's attacks are difficult to pull of for me, except for Double Cut and Firaga. :p
Main (1) Jecht
Advantages:
Can easily overpower opponent with his combos.
In EX Mode, combos can be pulled off, regardless if it connects or not.
BRV attacks have little to no lag time, making it easy to hit opponent.
Jecht Block can block some HP attacks.
HP attacks have good range w/ charge and devastating damage.
Decent speed for a power character.
Disadvantages:
Easily left open if combo misses.
Jecht Block has lag time if your opponent's attack does not connect with the shield.
Combos are difficult to pull off, even for experienced players.
HP attacks have little range without charging.
Charging can leave him open to any attack.
Jecht Blade has plenty of holes for attack.
Main (2) Sephiroth
Advantages:
Decent range with all attacks.
Black Materia has great hit box at full charge.
Excellent, speedy attacks.
Some attacks have loads of hits.
Heartless Angel in EX Mode.
Hell's Gate has a nova effect, somewhat protecting him from attacks.
Disadvantages:
Almost useless EX Mode.
Can be left open after most attacks.
Octaslash is just like Jecht Blade.
Black Materia is difficult to hit with if not fully charged.
Fervent Blow leaves him wide open to attack if he misses.
Main (3) Cecil
Advantages:
PAL, decent speed
PAL, Searchlight > Paladin Force combo is easy to pull off.
PAL, Good defense.
DK, great strength.
DK, decent range.
Can switch between classes during battle.
Disadvantages:
PAL, low strength
PAL, small lag time in most attacks.
PAL, left open after some attacks.
DK, little speed.
DK, difficult to hit with attacks.
Must use HP attacks to switch classes outside of EX Mode.
Main (1) Jecht
Advantages:

sudden movements
chainable moveset
Brave Point (BP) Farmer
Cons
HP attacks are hard to hit
most HP attacks can't be chained with BRAVE attacks easily
limited reach compared with most enemies
advanced combos require practice

Kefka
Advantages:
Waggle-Wabbly Firaga leaves opponent open for HP attack
Excellent 'keep away' BRV attacks
Can do well even at close range
Great EX Mode
Disadvantages:
HP attacks are almost useless at close range
Forsaken leaves him wide open with terrible lag time at end
Speed is unimpressive
Falls like a rock

Must disagree on the BRV and HP comments, Grand Cross is useful if your enemy is stuck in a corner and you're at a slight distance. I don't spam Black Hole, but I still use it if the enemy is keeping his distance.

it my opinion as well, i hate black hole and most of his brave attacks. Grand Cross i have yet to see effective as a non counter cause of its extremely slow start up time. Remember i also play online so i have to compensate for human reflexs

Human players can be predictable too. They're all usually competitive players, so they'll use their character the way the Tier List says they should, Golbez mains will spam Cosmic Ray, Cloud mains will spam Omnislash. Me, I spam the character's less popular moves to prove that tier lists are all bullshit. That's how I can catch most human players off guard.

Yea some characters are extremely predictable like that, i also have fought some extremely challenging people who don't use the tier list either. Hell beat fang spam is always squalls thing so u really can't help that with him xD. But i get what ur saying but anways, I have been usng Vacuum Wave as a brave attack more now, but i still don't use any other hp attack other than delta attack.

Picked up Bartz as a new main, and I gotta say, his HP game is...difficult. Only in EX Mode do I not have any trouble hitting anything...
