Duodecim Costume Criticism

An idea that hit me not long ago thanks to RYCloud.

WoL 1st alt - The ex mode is better than the first, but its meh
Wol 2nd alt - Cool its the fighter, class change to Knight pl0x
Garland 1st alt - this one is meh
Garland 2nd alt - this one looks kinda dumb
Firion 1st alt - bleh
Firion 2nd alt - Amano's work huh, they forgot that he was wearing almost nothing for the art
Emperor 1st - this one is kinda meh
Emperor 2nd - The emperor from the FMV from FF origins correct? neat.
Onion Knight 1st - Supposedly Luneth, its still pretty meh
Onion Knight 2nd - The unnamed warrior looks kiddish now
Cloud of Darkness 1st - Bleh
Cloud of Darkness 2nd - Cloud of Light anyone?
Cecil 1st - Redish instead of purple, kinda charming...
Ceicl 2nd - This will be my preferred costume
Golbez 1st - Black, gold and red. I love it too
Golbez 2nd - Wouldn't kill him to clean up, but its refreshing to see a face for once
Kain 1st - Takes the intimidation factor out
Kain 2nd - I lol'ed
Bartz 1st - The amano art, its a nice change if you're tired of his normal
Bartz 2nd - Hah, the Snes sprite style. nostalgia
ExDeath 1st - Exdeath's soul, a common enemy in the place where you get the legendary weapons from
ExDeath 2nd - I wolud have thought of Enuo, but this works too
Terra 1st - Should be her default. nuff said
Terra 2nd - I thought it would've been Celes, but its blue not green... still wondering why she's evil now
Kefka 1st - lololol Kefka is a socialist... I hate hate HATE him more now.
Kefka 2nd - the snes sprite. this one makes me smile
Cloud 1st - Advent Children, my favorite movie.
Cloud 2nd - Looks more refined, but if he's evil it doesn't fit. I'd have preferred Zack
Cloud 3rd - KH's, looks awesome.
Sephiroth 1st - "My nipples cut through wood" lololol
Sephiroth 2nd - Looks more like the orginal, the first is like crisis core.
Tifa 1st - Advent children, like the new clothes nothing to complain about here.
Tifa 2nd - It's the cowgirl, how can I not love it
Squall 1st - SEED uniform, meh
Squall 2nd - My preferred choice, his personality is too cold without a jacket though
Ultimecia 1st - meh
Ultimecia 2nd - Edea is meh
Laguna 1st - Galbadian uniform is pretty win
Laguna 2nd - Say hello to mah CUCHI CUCHI treatment
Zidane 1st - Everything is better in black, and silver
Zidane 2nd - I like it
Kuja 1st - Its the one I use
Kuja 2nd - But I'll probably be using this one afterwards
Tidus 1st - the original, I stuck with the first

Jecht 1st - Like the red sword, love the purple bandana, but I think it was replaced.
Jecht 2nd - The hero of FFX now? He's alot more sociable in the demo. I like it
Jecht 3rd - Looks good, but I'll use the blitzball one
Yuna 1st - Hate it... X-2 ftw
Yuna 2nd - a bit of a curve ball actually cause I never expected it but it is a great design.
Shantotto 1st - Prefer it, makes her look a bit evil and it fits her dark humor

Vann 1st - bland...
Vann 2nd - Much better, but the original is okay
Gabranth 1st - Love it, black is still cool
Gabranth 2nd - Basch? nah, its the impersonator from the opening
Lighting 1st - looks older...
Lighting 2nd - Its different, but I'm not using it
Lighting 3rd - I like it, but I'll have to bum off of Nemo to get it...

Cecil 1st - Meh
Ceicl 2nd - I like it, more then his base look. The straight hair and the fact the silver is more clear is a good improvement imo.

Terra 1st - Should be her default. Green hair ftw
Terra 2nd - Hmm I dont really know, Blonde hair is still a meh from me but the fact its shorter and the blue dress...dont mind it.

Cloud 1st - Advent Children, nice but shinra unifom would have been nicer
Cloud 2nd - No different from the default but I haven't seen the backpack yet so I can't say much
Cloud 3rd - KH's, looks awesome. Seeing as though this was the first 3d Cloud I saw it kept quite an impression. The black wing and vincents cape and claws look good. Sucks it's DLC. (Onto Zanes point, even though this is DLC this costume makes more sense story wise then the Amano costume to represnt the Chaos sided Cloud)

Sephiroth 1st - Though I hate the fact he's topless, it does help recreate the final battle.
Sephiroth 2nd - Like the pointy hair and lack of bangles. The real default

Tifa 1st - Advent children, like the new clothes but hate the short hair

Tifa 3rd - Not bad for an Amano costume, I might actually buy the special edittion just to get it.

Tidus 1st - Orginal is better then the default
Tidus 2nd - Looks a bit like Jecht, and fits his evil nature in the new game so I like.

Jecht 3rd - Just his basic outfit but I prefer it over his default

Yuna 2nd - Love the wedding dress, bit of a curve ball actually cause I never expected it but it is a great design.

Gabranth 1st - Love it, black but simple
Gabranth 2nd - Love it aswell, no armour is pretty nice.

Lighting 1st - Blonde hair and darker, simple but actually looks pretty good
Lighting 2nd - Uniform is a nice touch, bit boring though
Lighting 3rd - Love it, she looks a bit like a rocker chick (and of course its a reference to 3rd birthday). Like KH its annoying it's DLC.

Also I know it sounds mental but I do hope that all the in game cutscenes use the costume you're currently wearing.

WoL 1st: I prefer it over his original since it stuck to the Fighter look closer.
WoL 2nd: Awesome, I'm not touching the other two again, Fighter wins.
Garland 1st: Didn't understand the logic with this one, the colors were bland, so I never used it.
Garland 2nd: A true villain, but it makes Garland to look like a demon more than a knight, but it looks very intimidating.
Firion 1st: Didn't see why no one liked this one, it fit the original NES look yet again. And it looks amazing.
Firion 2nd: Higher definition version of the first alt, so it's decent.
Mateus 1st: Loved it, his hell costume was much less of an eyesore than his default.
Mateus 2nd: I remember seeing this somewhere, but I don't remember. I love it otherwise.
Onion Knight 1st: Stupid, my hatred for III aside, this costume just looks retarded.
Onion Knight 2nd: Not getting the reference, but it's...original. Won't use it, though.
CoD 1st: I prefer red.
CoD 2nd: I like it, but unless she's on Cosmos' side, it won't make much sense.
Cecil 1st: I switched back and forth between the default and this one in the first game, simply because I couldn't decide which one looked better.
Cecil 2nd: An improvement on the otherworldly design of Cecil's default, but I'm pissed that they're using his DS outfits.
Golbez 1st: Never really thought much of this one, the default was fine.
Golbez 2nd: I haven't played FFIV(2?) so, I don't understand this one, but it looks kind of cool.
Bartz 1st: Amano's concept of Bartz, it's definitely out there, but I didn't use it for very long.
Bartz 2nd: I never complained about Bartz' default, but this definitely kicks it out of the park. Original is always better.
Exdeath 1st: No reason for this, the color scheme was made up on the spot.
Exdeath 2nd: Definitely ups the intimidation, so it's a maybe.
Terra 1st: Her original NA sprite. The default was actually the sprite for JP if I'm not mistaken. Liked it, but green eyebrows are a turn off.
Terra 2nd: Given that she's for some reason on the side of Chaos, it doesn't fit, but it's nice to see her in more traditional clothing.
Kefka 1st: Lazy color changes are lazy.
Kefka 2nd: YES~! As close as we'll get to the original Kefka.
Cloud 1st: A toss up for me, given that I don't like Cloud, but I can't decide which costume is more memorable for me. The SOLDIER costume or the AC costume. :/
Cloud 2nd: Indifferent.
Cloud 3rd: A decent look, but it reminds me of how desperate for money Enix is.
Sephiroth 1st: I don't care how epic the final fight may have seemed, but this costume just bugged the hell out of me. And it was for five whole seconds he was like this, how epic could it have been?
Sephiroth 2nd: Love it, Sephiroth how he was originally intended, bangs and all. Still not seeing why there's a Deepground symbol on his chest.
Squall 1st: Love it, his original SEED outfit, but I used his default more just cause it looks more appropriate.
Squall 2nd: Amano fail, Squall's wearing bondage gear. No respect and no points.
Ultimecia 1st: Another pointless color change.
Ultimecia 2nd: Absolute epicness. I'd never even heard of Ultimecia when Dissidia first came out, I was expecting this woman.
Zidane 1st: Definitely less painful on the eyes than the blue, but the EX Mode isn't as capturing.
Zidane 2nd: Looks absolutely awesome, one of the funniest scenes I remember in the game.
Kuja 1st: color change.
Kuja 2nd: Haven't seen it.
Tidus 1st: My favorite costume in the game. Lighthearted colors make Tidus, it's who he is, any other representation of him is plain blasphemy.
Tidus 2nd: Ew, no. What Tidus is doing on Chaos' side escapes me completely, why he is wearing MORE DARK COLORS escapes me as well.
Jecht 1st: Stupid, I've never touched this costume and I never will. It is not Jecht, he wears orange and that's it.
Jecht 2nd: I appreciate that Square finally realized how unvillainous Jecht is and put him on Cosmos' side, but this costume is pointless and doesn't suit him.
Jecht 3rd: Never touching any other costume again.
Shantotto 1st: Liked it, but she's barely big enough to see without really concentrating.
Shantotto 2nd: Definitely interesting and original.
Gabranth 1st: He looks better in his original, and EX Mode is more threatening with the red aura.
Gabranth 2nd: Never wanted to see Basch in this game, but technically this is his imposter outfit.

And the others...

Kain 1st: Don't quite understand why he's in a fishsuit, but I might use it.
Kain 2nd: Again, don't see the logic in it, but I still might use it.
Tifa 1st: AC, ftw. Definitely makes me like her more when the concentration isn't solely focued on her chest.
Tifa 2nd: Another VII costume that was seen for five minutes, yet people remember it so well, mainly cause it's sexy. Ugh..
Tifa 3rd: One of Amano's concepts that I actually liked, still won't pay to download it though.
Laguna 1st: Never played VIII, so this is more memorable for other people, so enjoy.
Laguna 2nd: PEDESTRIAN IN THE CONFLICT, WHAT HO!
Yuna 1st: Pointless color change, but at least they didn't put in that god-awful slut of a X-2 outfit. Demeaning clothes are demeaning.
Yuna 2nd: I love this outfit, it wasn't a happy scene when she was wearing it, but the dress is absolutely flattering for her. Inconvenient for battle as it is, it's a great costume.
Vaan 1st: Better than the original, but still not what I'd consider likable.
Vaan 2nd: Something I think I'd enjoy, he looks like the starring role in the Count of Monte Christo.
Lightning 1st: Take away the pink hair, Lightning is still beautiful...but not as much. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it's an Aya Brea cosplay referrence, seeing as how Aya Brea has a Lightning costume in the 3rd Birthday.
Lightning 2nd: I hope there's a reason for this costume, because Lightning looks like Biggs(don't anyone dare say Vicks) and Wedge from VI. Not flattering, nor attractive.
Lightning 3rd: Aya Brea from the 3rd Birthday, a great costume by itself, but I'll have to play the game before I can say anything about it.

Firion's second alt was vastly improved upon, in amano's art he wearing ass-less chaps, so creepy.

I think one of Jecht's alts should have been Sephiroth's costume purely because of how awesome it looks in fanart. Wouldn't make any sense, but it looks great to me.

And another I'd advocate is the snes sprite version of Cecil instead of the red one, but oh well.

More like the SNES version instead of the DS version, but I'm splitting hairs here. The DS sucks.

Jecht is perfectly fine with his original consept back, nothing better than the original.

So what is the deal with the fishsuit for Kain, is it a water dragon?

Apparently its supposed to be Dark Kain from FF4 the part where he turns on Cecil... But his normal seems darker IMO...

He wears his default 24/7 anyway, why'd they come up with that concept. It looks kinda cool, though.

It was supposed to represent the fact that Kain's sprites were brighter in FF4 advance.

And as for other characters, I think I remember it said somewhere there will be other DLC, so keep your eyes peeled.

Makes no sense to me, but whatever.

Any why should I look for DLC? I'm not going to download all the crap anyway, especially if I'm paying $3 for it.
