A New Hope

The update that's gonna be happening this fall on Xbox Live will cointain a new media format update meaning that 360 consoles will now be able to read a new kind of DVD disc which can hold more memory! Right now I don't know how much more memory the new discs will have but I'm expecting at least an extra 5 GBs with this I think that there's more of a chance that FFvs13 will go multiplat.. sure the game might still be on 3 discs but still on the 360. There's another reason why it might end up going multiplat not just cause of the media format update but caused Square Enix has been losing money so they might see this as a chance to recover from their losses. So what do you guys think?

I would go multi, thats just me, i think the days of exclusives should be over, they really don't benefit you much

^ A lot of people want this ...sadly it's not gonna happen since they are a source of inspiration for other developers.

Never going to happen, each console needs it's own USP otherwise there would never be a point of owning one console over the other. And controller types aint going to cut it. Unless of course if Microsoft, SONY and Nintendo formed together to create a console called the MicroNinSONYdo (or the NinMicroSO (maybe the SONintenMicro ( PWii720'S?)) Dictatorship.

However 3rd parties (especially Capcom) aren't too fuzzy about staying one console specific exclusives for long. (Resident evil 4, was supposed to be a Gamecube exlusive then got ported to PS2. Dead Rising was supposed to be for 360 then was recreated for the Wii)

I think I've come out pretty good with my console choices. Got my Wii for my classic franchises and Brawl and then I've got the PS3 for Ratchet & Clank, MGS4, inFamous, LBP, God Of War and Uncharted. Unless if an amazing game like Arkham City became 360 exclusive I'll never need one.

Not yet, got the first one though and it's amazing. Need the 2nd but currently I'm facing some money issues (college travel fairs have gone up etc)
