Your Favourite Christmas Film?
It's the season. The season of gifts and family and any other things you associate with the holiday, including Christmas films. We all have our favourites whether it be the classic "It's a Wonderful life" to something seemingly out of place as "ELF".
So as it's the season share yours, mention why you like it and all in all just why you have to watch it at this time of the year.

For me it has to be the Muppets Christmas Carol.
Yeah I know that a Christmas Carol has been done to death but dammit this was my childhood. Besides getting new video games or toys as a kid I was looking forward to watching this film. In my opinion it is a brilliant adaption of the classic Dickens tale, even if all the dark scenes have been removed from the story I feel this is the one that gets the moral point of the story across the best. And I can't forget about the main leading the helm, Michael Caine himself who litterally gives the character all he has and performs it brilliant. When watching him before any of the ghosts arrive you can see the hint of sadness and regret behind his eyes which is hidden by the character well by his pose and mannerisms. In other words he doesn't ham up the performance for Kids, he treats the film serious and it pulls off well. Then of course you have the Muppets themselves, which are always on top form especially Gonzo and Rizzo. And lets not forget the songs, which whenever I hear I can't help but crack a smile and feel my eyes go watery as I remember back to my christmas times as a child (and nearly always bursting into tears over "When love is gone").
All in all this movie is amazing, I could never get through a christmas without watching it. Seriously if you have nothing to do this year and come across this movie on the TV or on DVD at your local shop then buy it.

@RY: Funny as hell in a dumb stupid way. Never thought I could find such a disgusting, immoral, scum of the earth person so damn hilarious.

Muppet's Christmas Carol. It'd turned a tragic and dark story into a kid-friendly story with pretty dark twists.
