A Note

Not a complaint or anything thing, i have yet to meet a user here i havn't liked, but i do think we need a shot in the arm of new members. I've read the post about a video advertising the site and think its a good idea but the fastest way, as with many things, to get acknowledgment is word of mouth. Just telling like minded people on other sites or even in RL about this place. I for one will be continuing to spread the good word, although the last member who joined on my advice didnt exactly hang around very long but having said that he just moved house so probably unintentional.
as always i value any and all input into my oppinions.

Indeed, simply spreading the word around seems to work, although some people either A, don't know anybody, or B, are unmotivated.

Rest assured if i find anyone on my travels around the net who I think will fit in here (not cause trouble) I will point them in the right direction. I enjoy being here and want to see it thrive.

That means a lot to me, sir. Although, if they cause trouble, we have the means to fix it.

I've told a few people but they're either too busy with their own lives to go on forums or haven't signed up yet.

Unfortunately, which is why we have so little traffic. But, it is a problem I plan to rectify one of these days. Soon as my wallet gets fatter.

I tricked Fantastico on here but he's the only guy I know who's into Final Fantasy. No point in joining a website for a francise you don't like.

Maybe we should offer some form of reward, for example "free hugs"

I kinda like the amount of members we have now, good enough so we have a nice variety, small enough so everyone still knows everybody. like a little village!

I live in a little village. Its nothing like being Norm from cheers, which I found to be a great disapointment.

But, inevitably, some of these members will leave. Be it from loss of interest, or from the site shutting down, or just time.

So we need at least a backup plan. :/

Maybe we should implement on our ideas of making things more enjoyable, drawing people with different interests? Do a competition every month or so?

so, basically, we need to create something that the site offers that can draw in a decent sized crowd of people here?

LOL! SF got what I meant. To draw more attention to the forums, implement more things that people enjoy.

We could like hold things every month or so like competitions that keep everyone on their toes, such as "Who can make the best signature" or "Who can draw the best picture of their FF character" something among those lines.

I would enter that drawing competion. Though i'm alittle rusty and i'm working on a piece for a mate at the moment (it looks horrific). I love the idea though

I already told you guys... well in the staff room, that I'm on a site where we do have a Final Fantasy and Members Competition. We nominate things who we thing fit in certain catagories like Best FMV in a Final Fantasy Game and Best Quality Poster on the site.

We spend a week voting and at the end the polls are closed and we hand out tiny awards like little stamps or trophies to but in sigs for the Members. I don't think it would spring a flame war, we all know each other and I'm pretty sure we're mature enough to not go, "NO I BEST SPAMMER IUVSDLWIOEBVGU" but I would say that so muh.

Ooooh, perhaps a best grammar award!
