Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
Okay. I explained it in the blog very briefly, and I will do the same note here. I know there is an enormous amounts of posts on the web in regards to the extended cut of ME3. I did my own version... and again I added a few tweaks on it to make it feel (or I tried my best) less of a game and more of a 'short movie'.
So if any of you are bored for approximately 18 min, give this one a shot. Again, it's a bit different, but there is only so much one can change when the extended cut did the justice I needed it to. Well, I digress...

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
Okay, I am SO satisfied with the new ending. SHIT MAKES SENSE. I mean, remember how the Mass Relay's explode in the original ending? Doesn't that mean the whole galaxy would be destroyed? That was the whole fucking plot to the Encounter DLC for ME2 lol. I originally picked to deny the Catalyst and I lol'd. Then I chose Synthesis. I watched the other endings on youtube and I can easily say I'm happy with my choice. Even if Shepard lived in the Destroy option.
I'm happy, I fucking love this game. BING-BOM-BIGGIDY-BOP

"It makes sense".
I can't agree more with that statement. There are no room to 'try and decipher' between the walls. To me there are no loose ends, it all capsulized everything that had transpired with the game/s. I will witness all the endings on my own accord so I haven't really seen anything aside from the 'control' ending which I thought was mindgasmic! So there are three more to watch.

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
While I completely understand that they have to charge for the Story DLC (many others disdain from paying for a ME3 DLC, but who cares what they think right?), it would be asinine for them to charge for weapons, but they are. And regardless of my tirade on paying meager money for meager contents such as weapons, I'll probably fork out the Cash.
I guess one thing about playing Mass Effect 2 that I wish they kept on ME3 are the more earth shattering weapons that Shepard can ALWAYS have at his disposal (the Arc Singularity{?} and the Collector laser {?} as an example}.

I understand them charging for crap because for the past 4 months, Bioware has been PLOWING free DLC for Multiplayer since the game was released. I'm okay with paying a little bit, they're giving away the N7 weapons and they are fucking badass but I agree with you Erel. ME3 needs more destructive, earth shattering weapons to use like in ME2.

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
Might be a bit late on this boat but I recently beat the game with the extended cut DLC.
Really glad they put it on, especially for free. Though I feel it really should have already been a part of the game (that way the backlash from the entire internet may not have been so brutal) I can tell that these where the endings that Bioware where aiming for.
I went with synthesis, couldn't follow the Illusive man's footsteps and go with control didn't feel right, I also didn't want to wipe out the geth just to take down the reapers.
BTW The final goodbye with Tali is certainly the most depressing thing I've come across in a video game.

Also on the new DLC, sounds a bit interesting but I don't think it will be a day one purchase with me. At the moment I'm kinda content with just having beaten the game on insanity and what not, don't want to jump straight back onto it and start a new save just for DLC.

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
This series is the best by far in gaming history imo. Sometimes I think ppl get caught up too much in nostalgia, and new games can never be better than one from ages ago, but honestly, I found ME3 to be completely satisfying in almost every aspect.

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
No idea, I know I've used the N7 Hurricane online and that's a pretty sweet SMG if you like using them. Other than that, don't know. Better off on skipping them. I mean, I picked my arsenal on my first playthrough and for my character, it was my favorite and I find no need to change it.

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
Same here. I have always used the same gun from the free DLC from purchasing CE; never changed them myself and once I have fully maximize them, their use and power remains incontrovertible. I guess I was merely wondering if they were 'earth shattering weapons'. I didn't read too much online to get the specifics.
As for the N7 hurricane, I never used it with a stabilizer when I was using my Adept so had terrible recoil (or was that the locust, I can't quite remember). I sticked with my pistol and sniper. I can't remember what I used as a Sentinel with SMG and as A Vanguard, I didn't have one. Perhaps next play through as my Sentinel I'll give it a try.
On another news, G4 mentions that retaking Omega from Cerberus is probably a DLC. That would be fun. I wonder if Aria would be available to join the fray of Shepard's team even if just for the DLC. It would be behoove of her to be part of the main squad to break through and retake her place; whether they just make her a NPC that kicks ass or part of the squad remains to be seen.

Dude, Aria joining the team would be so badass. Even if she joined ONLY for the mission like Liara in Lair of the Shadow Broker. I would love to play that because I have to say, Omega was one of the most memorable places in the ME universe.
ALSO, AUGUST 28th! LEVIATHAN WILL BE FOR DOWNLOAD!Fuck man, I am just pissing money away lately because of all these badass games coming out. Spent 60 for P4Arena, gonna spend another 60$ for Borderlands 2 and another 60 for Bioshock Infinite. FUCK I AM SO POOR.

So a'm I the only one who thinks that the new DLC for ME3 is kinda pointless now cause of the extended cut ending?

Re: Mass Effect Spoiler thread
^Perhaps. I'm still going to buy them since I am and will always be enamored by the game. Any new content provided will suffice for more chance of me playing the game. With or without new content however I will still have my yearly routine of playing it again (whether ME2 or ME3).
Leviathan, next week! I shall be purchasing it as well. And speaking of poor, Amarant, I myself is running my well dry. With the choice of buying both DOA5 and Persona 4 off the whim... well... let's just say it didn't exactly help my funds. lol.

I have it downloaded but I'm gonna get to it when I'm back to school on Saturday. I can't play it on my tv at home, it cuts the screen off.
