Re: Maid vs Host
probably going to have to cause I have no idea what to write till then :3)
Mondays....usually horrible days for Sayuri anyways but today it was worse. She had even ticked off the manager at work with her drepressive mood. So much so she ordered Sayuri to just go home after she'd dumped an entire pot of tea in a man’s lap. Hey, the bastard was asking for it when he asked her how she felt. Besides she barely got any sleep meaning she had no patience for being nice anyways. She'd woken up crying from yet again another dream about her father mixed with visions of Hiko. She hated the fact that they always made her cry so that her eyes felt puffy and her head light when she woke up. What she hated even more was how they made her feel just plain awful.
Katsuo was another contributor to her horrible morning. He followed her everywhere and even the slightest contact with a customer would cause him to give the poor guy the 'I'm watching you' look. That might have been part of the reason she'd been sent home early. The guy was watching her like a hawk even now as she walked out of the store in the new dress he'd basically forced her to buy.
"You have to look nice for your father." He said when she complained and before she could even take the thing off it was already paid for. As the two walked down the street she couldn't help her glances towards the host club.
"You hungry or something?" Katsuo asked after the fifth time he caught her trying to find someone but she quickly shook her head and looked at the ground.
'Hiko-san should be there...' She thought and felt that sick feeling hit the pit of her stomach again. Whether it was the awkward memory of his little episode when she'd woke him up or that stupid loneliness that made her want to cry, she had no idea. But she couldn't think about him right now, not when she had her father to worry about.

“Hello!” A woman said her eyes searching the people around her trying to catch someone’s attention. She sighed heavily and tapped on a man’s shoulder that was at the bus stop. He turned but from his mouth came spilling a long stream of Japanese that she couldn’t understand. “Um I-I uh-Can-you-help-me-find the-the-this place!” She tapped the title on the page that she had but the man simply stared at her with a stunned look. Her shoulders dropped and she heaved out a sigh before continuing along. That had to have been the 50th person she’d met today asking where the Shangri-La Hotel was but no one seemed to understand her. Sure her Japanese was a little rusty and she couldn’t figure out the damn map the flight attendant had given her but everyone didn’t have to act like they hadn’t seen an American before. She walked along and noticed the host club but was unable to read the sign to know what it even was. She sighed feeling her stomach growl and walked in, sitting at one of the tables. From afar she looked almost identical to Sayuri, same face and red hair though she was obviously in her late 30’s. She pulled out her phone to try and call Sayuri but the phone wouldn’t turn on. “Well hell so much for trying to surprise her with my visit,” She grumbled and rested with her head in her hands on the table. She sensed someone near her and lifted her head with a tired look just guessing it was a waiter, “Can I get something to drink? Preferably something drowned in alcohol...” She asked but in English.

Ryo trashed the picture and looked back at his phone and blinked when he read the lunch offer. He looked around his apartment and decided he wanted to get the hell out of it before he ended up ruining more drawings. Not to mention, he certainly wouldn't admit it, but he was eager to see her again.
"Picnic eh? That sounds awesome right about now." He texted and then sighed at how true that was compared to spending a day at home. Besides he hadn't been to the park near the central metropolitan area in what seemed like years. "How about we meet at the park near the corpral district? I can't cook but I can treat you to something near there if you like?"

Re: Maid vs Host
hiko had gone to work that day but had left the medication at home. ever since the episode with sayuri-chan he refused to take it. when he was at work if a customer came up behind him she turned out being pulled off her feet in the arms of hiko. but he always had a stern look, the girls didnt seem to mind they actually almost liked being man-handled. after a while tho hiko asked if he could just bus tables till closing because he didnt feel well. the manager had said he had to have one more table and then he was alloud to leave and he agreed.
hiko heard teh english and turned "Right away my lady." he said in beautiful english that rolled off his tongue like water. when he looked at her tho he stopped "sa...sayuri..chan" he mumbled and dropped his tray. when she turned to look at him be blushed "oh... im sorry miss" he said and bent down picking up the tray "i thought... well i thought you where someone i knew but... you just look like her. im sorry. is there something i may get you?" he said his english starting to frazzle a little bit

Marii was cleaning up her paint setting when her phone buzzed again and she smiled bitting her lip...
for some reason she was nervous about looking at his reply... did he want to go?
she opend the cell and grinned, " sounds like a plan to me, ill catch the train there in a min i just need to change. " she text him.
she turned to her bed and looked at the small hang chain full of hangers she didnt have much... but the little green summer dress looked good to her.
it was one of her best things. little green cotten and lace dress she had had on the day she left.... not practial... but it had been her favorite.
she pulled her dirty cloths off and the dress over her head before running a brush through her head and grabbign her purse dashing out the door and jumping on the train.
for soem reason she was excited.... when was the last time she had dressed up to go out and just have fun like this.... it felt like a life tiem ago....
*next stop corpral district* a fuzy intercom voice interupted her day dream as she then readied to get off the train and met up wiht him.

Re: Maid vs Host
"How many times do I have to say it?! I'm Emma-Eh?" The woman blinked and looked at Hiko with wide eyes almost as if being called Sayuri completely went through one ear and out the other. "Y-You speak english?!" She smiled brightly then giggled in a very girly way. "Ah! That's awesome! Sit down a sec!" She said practically snatching him into the booth to sit next to her. She dug through her purse so that she could find that map with the name of the hotel on it. She blinked when she couldn't find it and groaned looking back at Hiko. "Look I'm suposed to be meeting my husband and daughter in an hour at the-the-" She blinked unable to rememeber the name. "Damn...I can't quite think of the name of the hotel...." She tapped her lip then sighed slouching back into the booth seat with a huff. "What kind of mother am I?"

Ryo was dressed and out the door with enough time to spare. It wasn't like im to be early for anything and the feeling of waiting was odd. He kicked back against one of the large stone statues at the entrance letting his eyes wander to the parks scenery. This was the place his parents always took him to when he was little and he'd often frequented coming here when he was in highschool. It was a nice place to relax and just draw out what was on your mind and just be left alone. It was almost strange to him to actually be coming here for another reason entirely. Instead of wanting to escape people in general he was coming to meet up with someone he actually enjoyed spending time with.
"Funny how stuff like that works..." He muttered looking down at his feet.

Re: Maid vs Host
"one nice enough to be concerned to find her daughter. ill help you miss" he said smiling. "my shift is actually over. ill grab a phone book and read the names off to you while we go ok?" he said and got up taking his uniform off just wearing the black pants and white ruffled dress shirt with rolled up sleeves. and a phone book in his hand "alright my lady. im sorry if my english slips to japanese everyonce and a while, bear with me" he said with a grin looking down at the paper reading off the names to her "any sound familiar?" he asked after going through a full page. "hm... oh what about the Shangri-la hotel?" he said looking hopefully at her
Re: Maid vs Host
Emma's eyes brightened. "AH! THat's it that's it!!!" She said a breath of relief escaping her. "Oh you're such a good boy!" She laughed and hugged him out of joy before releasing him to nod in aproval at his appearance. "A cute boy too." She sighed folding her arms as she looked a little disappointed. "My daughter never brings cute boys home. It's so boring!" She huffed then smiled. "That might change after she takes a look at you though~" She laughed, just joking with him, before taking his arm and practically dragging him along. For a lady that was dressed all buisness in her corpral styled dress and high heels she was surprisingly energetic. "Anyways! Can you please show me where the hotel is? I'm afraid my japanese isn't good enough if I get lost again..."
~~~
Ryo snapped out of his thoughts and looked up to see Marii. She was in a green dress, a color that looked amazing on her. He caught himself staring and straightened a little. "Nah of course not." He said then smiled. "If you don't mind, first, let's go grab some food to take with us. I have some place I wanted to show you." He said, offering her his hand to her so she could take it only if she wanted to.
Re: Maid vs Host
hiko was a little taken aback by her forcefulness but smiled at her "ofcourse my lady" he said and loosely link his arm with her "this way" he said turning down the street going past the subway and around a tall building then bam! there was the tall and beautiful building with the shangri-la hotel "here it is" he said walking in with her "i used to work as a luggage boy here" he said with a chuckle looking around "the check in desk is there and the little restraunt inside here is just to the left. is there something specific you had planned here my lady?" he asked some of the customers looking at him awkwardly because of his english
"i guess we should-" he stopped seeing sayuri "s-sayuri-chan..." he mumbled. hiko felt her tugging him towards sayuri and he just limply followed when they where standing face to face he bowed apologetically "im sorry sayuri-chan i promised i would leave you alone this women just needed help getting to the hotel i didnt know that you would be here honestly im sorry ill leave at once!" he said his fists white he was gripping them so hard
Re: Maid vs Host
Sayuri hadn't expected to see Hiko and her mother, AND together, and as they crossed the floor over to her she felt a dizzying shock take over her. Though she didn't pass out, Katsuo was quick to act and caught her arm to steady her before she could. "Sai-chan!" Her mother called releasing Hiko and instantly was glued to Sayuri in a hug. "My gosh you've gotten so big!! And pretty! My baby's all grown up!" She laughed but it sounded a little tight as if realizing her age was catching up with her. Sayuri was a little overwhelmed and simply hugged her mother back but stared at Hiko.
"Why is he here-?" Katsuo began but Sayuri's mother beat him to it when she realized the two kids already knew each other.
"You knew such an adorble boy and didn't tell me! What kind of daughter are you?" Sayuri blinked at the english that was spilling out of her mothers mouth in a quick stream and it took her a couple seconds to translate and be able to answer.
"I-I really didn't think it was-"
"Oh well, now wait just a second." Her mother said, catching Hiko by the arm when he looked like he was about to bolt. "Now that he's here why doesn't he have lunch with us, ne?" She said and Katsuo shook his head when Sayuri tensed.
"I don't think that's such a good idea Mrs. Tanaka." Katsuo said and she glared at him.
"Oh dear god, Katsuo, don't be such a stick in the mud." She said and placed a hand on her hip, "I thought it was the code of the Tanaka family to always repay someone's kindness. What could a little lunch hurt?" Sayuri looked at her feet then forced herself to look back at Hiko. She let her mother's words sink in then nodded to confirm to Katsuo it was okay. He sighed, giving Hiko a small look of warning before muttering something into his cellphone.
"You really need to learn to read situations better." Katsuo said after a moment to Sayuri's mother who blinked in confusion before turning to Hiko. "So, will you accept our offer and not digrace our family name?" She asked basically wording it in a way that cornered him into saying yes.
~~~
Ryo blushed and looked at something other than her to hide it. "I-kinda had alot on my mind." It wasn't a lie he just didn't admit that it was about her. When he got to the small corner side restraunt he looked at her with a half smile. "It isn't much but the food here is the best." He said and ordered just their special. It was a large dish that basically came with everything from rice balls to omlets and anything else someone could think of all placed in a portioned box for two. "Alright, now time for the surprise." He laughed pulling her along the side walk and back into the park. Families and couples of all ages were scattered everywhere to enjoy the clear sunny day that was kind of rare for the city. He smiled at the looks they recieved from others and the girls that were staring at him then basically looking at Marii in confusion. He liked the feeling of having someone like her with him though she probably didn't feel the same way.
When they came to a group of stone stairs that lead up a hill he paused looking up at them a little lost in thought before he smiling. "come on." He said and walked up to the top. It was a small area that sat on a small hill in the park that had been leveled and landscaped with a couple cherry blossom trees and a circled stone pattern around a rock garden in the center and a single bench off to the side by a low stone wall around the area. The veiw from there was of the city but had a better veiw of the sky than anywhere else in the city. "Sorry, it's not exactly much of a surprise." He said, walking over to a section of the wall nearest to them and sat on it. "I used to come here alot since barely anyone ever is up here. I guess I like it because it's so quiet." He said with a small smile.

"as long as it doesnt cause discomfort to anyone then yes." he said feeling awkward. sayuri's mom... she had clung to him so tightly but... he couldnt keep his eyes off sayuri. he felt ashamed for breaking his promise but at the same time he just wanted to be near her when they sat down her mother kept talking on and on but his eyes where glued onto sayuri. he couldnt help the smile in his eyes. her just being near him made his heart race. he cleared his throat and spoke in japanese so that sayuri would understand him "im sorry about this... i didnt know she was your mother. she just was lost and when she heard me speak english she wanted me to show her to teh hotel. i didnt know things would end up like this. i dont want to make you mad" he said and looked at emmah who was looking at him like he had a third eye. his proper english had turned into japanese so suddenly

Re: Maid vs Host
Sayuri looked up from her glass when he spoke and felt a wave of guilt pass over her. What kind of person was she when she had someone apologizing to her for just being around her? She frowned slightly but not at him. It was directed towards her own reflection in one of the mirror's around the walls. "I should be saying sorry to you..." She said but then relaized she'd said it aloud and quickly added, "about my mom. That's typical of her to be so forceful. Sorry you got sucked into this." She said wishing he hadn't been. She had no idea what to say to him. They'd both left each other in such an awkward situation. But...was it wrong that she was actually kind of glad he was there?
Emma's eyes flickered between the two then she looked to Katsuo who was stationed by the door to await further information on her husband's arrival. "That is amazing how you can speak both languages so fluidly." She said to Hiko and gave Sayuri an aproving smile. Sayuri rolled her eyes and drummed her fingers on the table. "It took Sayuri months just to learn a sentance in English. It was a wonder she survived the school system."
"No thanks to your patronizing." Sayuri muttered in english with the slightest trace of an accent and her mother's eyes narrowed but she continued to smile.
"Anyways, so what's your name again son?"
"Hiko." Sayuri answered and her mother nodded.
"I see, so Hiko are you from Japan?" Emma continued and though Sayuri was begining to get annoyed with her mother's interrogation, she was also a little interested herself on how he learned to speak english so well.
~~~
Ryo looked at the trees and shrugged. "Romantic huh?" He smiled at Marii and gave her a smal shake of the head. "I think they're nice to look at in spring. Not that pinks ever really been my kind of color." He said and got to his feet to head over to her to walk over to the trees. She seemed to like them so maybe that would be better to relax under one. He sat heavily on the grass and took in a deep breath of fresh air. He hadn't realized how much he missed coming here..."I'm glad you like it...You're the only person I've ever shown this place to." He said and smiled slightly. "That's got to say something about you is definately different than the rest." He felt a little awkward saying this and blushed slightly. "Ah well, that is, I meant that in a good way."
"It took Sayuri months just to learn a sentance in English. It was a wonder she survived the school system."
"No thanks to your patronizing." Sayuri muttered in english with the slightest trace of an accent and her mother's eyes narrowed but she continued to smile.
"Anyways, so what's your name again son?"
"Hiko." Sayuri answered and her mother nodded.
"I see, so Hiko are you from Japan?" Emma continued and though Sayuri was begining to get annoyed with her mother's interrogation, she was also a little interested herself on how he learned to speak english so well.
Ryo looked at the trees and shrugged. "Romantic huh?" He smiled at Marii and gave her a smal shake of the head. "I think they're nice to look at in spring. Not that pinks ever really been my kind of color." He said and got to his feet to head over to her to walk over to the trees. She seemed to like them so maybe that would be better to relax under one. He sat heavily on the grass and took in a deep breath of fresh air. He hadn't realized how much he missed coming here..."I'm glad you like it...You're the only person I've ever shown this place to." He said and smiled slightly. "That's got to say something about you is definately different than the rest." He felt a little awkward saying this and blushed slightly. "Ah well, that is, I meant that in a good way."
Marii smiled and sat next to him lightly listening to his voice as soothing as it was.
" the only person... wow ... that makes me... happy." she said blushing slightly as she reached over and opend up the bag with the lunch in it.
opening up the pack she handed him a pair of chopsticks. " thank you Ryo."
she bit her lip and took a deep breath " ohshi! it smells so good Ryo, Itabakimasu "
seh took a bite of the first thing she saw and moaned, " ahhh... so good... " she giggled and swallowed her mouth full, " ahhh... you are the best Ryo."
"no." he said in an almost monotone voice "i was born of two american people who lived in denmark. but i moved to tokyo because of the university." he said adn ran his hand through his hair "it kind of describes my very european look. with the blonde hair and blue eyes... not very japanese. and to answer your question about fluency im fluent in a number of languages" he said and smiled at sayuri's mother "Men i øjeblikket ser jeg hader mit liv." he said the roll of his tongue sounding sweet but his words where filled with pain. he turned to sayuri and took a deep breath "i like your mother. she is sweet. " he said "i would love to have a mother..." he said and then caught himself stopping the sentence and continued "who acts like this for me" he said and took a sip of his waterfeeling a the overwhelming panic start to sink in. he was doing his best to stay cool and kicking himself for not taking his medicine
Re: Maid vs Host
"Aw so nice!" Emma giggled flapping her hand once in a shooing gesture at the compliment. "I've worked under a few fashion lables in Europe but I don't think I've ever been to Denmark." She continued to prattle on and on about the different dresses she'd been given by renouned designers not even noticing Hiko was even the slightest bit uncomfortable. Sayuri on the other hand picked up on it the moment he mentioned mothers.
"I can tell her to shut up if you want." Sayuri said and attempted to smile softly at him. She didn't like seeing him so off.
"The farthest I've ever been from Japan would have to be the US. We only lived there for a few years but I have to say it was...fun." Sayuri said and Emma frowned crookedly.
"That's such a lie. You couldn't wait to get back to Japan." Sayuri shrugged and felt a small smile coming to her lips.
"Not true, the basket ball was really fun." She laughed and her mother rolled her eyes.
"Yes. I just loved how you always came back from practice with nappy hair and the way you refused to wear the make up and outfits I bought you." Emma shook her head and it was Sayuri's turn to role her eyes.
"Hey, at least I wore a dress today. Katsuo practically had to force me in it." Sayuri said and frowned slightly at it cream colored sundress that was making her feel uncomfortable herself. "I look ridiculous in all this frilly stuff." She muttered to Hiko.
Ryo chuckled at her reaction to the food and took one of the rice balls with a small shake of the head. "Thanks but I don’t think so.” He said and took a bite of it. A couple seconds later he coughed and swallowed it with a look of complete surprise on his face. “Ah! That was really spicy.” He said blinking a few times only to realize he was blushing. “I-Um-don’t like spicy stuff too much.” He ran a hand through his hair and cleared his throat before glancing over at what she had tasted. “I bet that was better.” He said taking a piece and tried it. He smiled slightly at the sweet taste then nodded after he swallowed. “Much better.” He picked up one of the spicy rice balls and offered it to Marii. “Come on, try it. I want to see if you can handle it better than I did.”
"you look beautiful" he said without even thinking. he smiled and took a deep breath "so thats how she beat me in basket ball eh? hmm" he said and rubbed his chin in thought but was smiling "emma-chan. you have a remarkable daughter." he finally stated "wearing make up on such a face... its an insult. i prefer her natural beauty." he said "i can introduce you to some danish designers if you like. my uncle is in that business" he said to emmah
"sayuri-chan" he said and coughed returning to hs japanese for her "i missed you" he said bluntyly "im sorry that im saying this but... i cant hide it. im happy to see you. even if it means breaking my promise. im happy.." he said and his frown faded "does.. that make you sad?" he said his whole body tense as he waited for an answer
Re: Maid vs Host
Sayuri stared at him for a moment her heart racing. What he was saying made her heart beat so strong but then again she had her doubts. Did she need more stress? Did she need Hiko…Her eyes left his and she looked back at the table. “It doesn’t make me sad. That’s not the problem.” She said and her hands gripped each other tightly. “It’s the idea that you could hide something like that. That I’m so oblivious toeverything that happening around me and-that I did something to make you mad-and afterwards that I missed you and-and.” She stammered and looked back up at him with a small glint in her eyes that seemed confused yet almost worried. "Why?" She asked but it wasn't specific. Her expression faded quickly when she heard someone clear their throat behind her and her face turned as white as a sheet. She got to her feet giving Hiko a brief look that said “can we talk about this later?” before turning to look at her father.
He was a tall, lean man that looked to be in about his early 30’s though he was older than Sayuri’s mother by 4 years. His hair was jet black and his features were obviously Japanese though his skin was very fair and eyes a murky brown. Everything about the guy was clean cut business including his cold expression that seemed devoid of any emotion.
“Darling!” Emma practically leaped onto the cross looking man hugging his arm tightly as she giggled happily. A smile actually cracked on his lips but it only made Sayuri feel uncomfortable. Her father always intimidated her even as he looked at her now with that calculating stare of his.
“Father.” Sayuri said taking a step forward to give him a hug but instead he simply ruffled her hair before taking his seat across from her. Sayuri blinked and joined everyone at the table silently. She was tense and looked more like a suspect up for interrogation rather than a girl having lunch with her parents.
“So,” He said as if he just noticed Hiko was there. “I see my daughter has a new friend?” Sayuri gulped and nodded slightly. “Katsuo has told me a little about you.” He motioned to the security guard who nodded swiftly and disappeared through the front door. As if he blew off the topic completely he flagged a waitor over saying to the others, “I hope you all haven’t been waiting long…”
Re: Maid vs Host
"yes sir. Sayuri and I are friends." he said sitting down next to sayuri "she works across the street from me, so on nights she works late i walk her home. for safety reasons. i would hate to see anything happen to her." he said and coughed a little 'talking about awkward' he thought feeling jittery 'come on Hiko-kun youve pulled through worse situations keeping your cool this one is no different' he thought "mr. **insert familys last name here** you have a very beautiful and talented daughter, it was easy to befriend such a caring young women, but i mean no disrespect towards you. if you wish to have a family meal it is in no way my place to intrude. please accept my apology" he said sounding like a proper young android, very out of place for the teddy bear kid like lovey dovey hiko-kun sayuri knew
Re: Maid vs Host
(ah! Sorry I think I put the last name as Tanaka. Nt positive but I think that was it)
Sayuri’s eyes widened slightly when she heard the way Hiko’s voice change and the hint he was going to leave her here. Whether he meant it that way or not she took his hand and squeezed it lightly. ‘Don’t leave me please.’ She wanted to plead but didn’t look at him because she could already feel her father’s stare on her. She looked up at her father and found he actually looked a little amused. She felt as if he could see her hand holding Hiko’s.
“See isn’t Hiko just so charming?” Emma said and his amused look faded. “He speaks all these languages and is European. Has such manners..” She smiled brightly at Hiko. “I think he’s a good friend for Sayuri.”
He sat back and was silent a moment before he smiled once more. “This is interesting.” He said, in a way approving him to eat with them. Emma grinned and winked at Sayuri.
“Hiko said you were working. Where?” Emma asked and Sayuri blushed slightly. Sayuri even had a bit of hope that this was going to actually go by smoothly.
“I was given a job at a local café. The wages are good and the manager says I’m good at-”
“I think it’s more than interesting in fact.” Sayuri paused, realizing her father was mad. She didn’t know who he was mad at by staring at him because he was looking at Hiko. “I understand you not only helped my daughter but even offered to help my wife earlier today. Seems I owe you my thanks.” He turned his attention to the waiter and he ordered casually some tea for him and Emma and Sayuri cleared her throat ordering the same.
“So how’s the business-” Sayuri began to start some sort of conversation but her father didn’t let her finish.
“It’s fine.” He said but Sayuri could sense the tightness in his voice. Fine meant not good.
“Have you been travelling more? I was really surprised to hear you came to Japan-”
“I’m sure you were.” Sayuri frowned at him and tried her best to keep herself composed. Instead f continuing the game her father seemed to be playing with her she looked at Hiko.
“So what are you going to get to eat?” She asked and looked at the menu with a small smile. “I don’t think they have many spicy dishes here.”
Re: Maid vs Host
he was happy that he had made the seemingly uptight father smile for a moment and the thanks he said then made him tense "sir it was an honor. if any type of harm where to befall someone like Mrs. tanaka or Sayuri-chan i would never forgive myself" he said and blinked when she said spicey food he had to supress a chuckle and looked at the menu "i guess the salad. reminds me of home" he said with a shrug he felt sayuris hand tighten and loosen and shake but he just held it lightly rubbing his thumb across her fingers soothingly "Sayuri-chan is a fantastic waitress." hiko said and smiled "i work at the local flower shop on my days off from the restraunt that i work at myself. ive visted sayuri-chan at work a few times. shes a very hard worker, " he said and smiled slightly hiko felt his head starting to spin and he cleared his throat not really knowing what was going on. "she...um" he said and pulled his other hand up to rub his forhead. his heart was beating so quickly he thought he was going to pass out suddenly. he gripped sayuri's hand tighter. he knew he had an emergency pill in his back pocket but how would that look if he was popping pills at the dinner table. "what type of business do you run mr. tanaka if you dont mind me asking?" he said smiling lifting hsi head looking at the stiff man
Re: Maid vs Host
Sayuri felt a smile coming to her when Hiko spoke of her and was mentally thanking him. She however blinked when Hiko's grip tightened on her hand. She watched him carefully and noticed he looked kind of...
Her father looked from his wife to Hiko and Sayuri heard the buisness man in him coming out his speech on the comany. "It's the Tanaka banking industry. Mostly it consists of investing and loaning to foreign buisnesses that decide to build in Japan and common tensaction within the city of Tokyo." Sayuri felt shoulders lax at all the talk of buisness. It was just so boring, she couldn't understand how anyone could ever find such a career the least bit entertaining but maybe that explained how her father's entire side of the family were a bunch of cross jerks. Family corporations didn't start over night if the people were tight fisted.
"All this talk of work and no school." His eyes flitted to Sayuri who fidgeted in her seat. "I supose your attending a college around here?"
Sayuri opened her mouth to begin her explination on how she was currently trying to figure out what it was she wanted to study but her father gave her the dismissive look. He was asking Hiko.
"Father, lets save all the talk of work and school for later. Can't we just visit?" She said but it was as if what she voiced wasn't even heard. She wasn't as much worried about that, she was worried about how Hiko was handling all this.
~~~
Ryo blinked now feeling awful that he'd just given that to he. "Y-Yeah here!" He grabbed one of the canned green teas and offered it to her with a small forwn. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were that sensitive." He pulled her hand to get her to sit down again and tried hard to stiffle a laugh. "Wimpy? I haven't heard that since grade school." He said a small smile slipping. "Don't worry about it. Once Sayuri's family fed me something that tasted more like lava rocks than sushi."

"ive actually already graduated top of my class in fine arts." he said cooly "i graduated from tokyo U" hiko said and looked at sayuri and smiled weakly. he suddenly looked paler then usual he turned back and smiled at mr. tanaka "but i was going to go back to school to finish the credits i needed for my masters..." he said and smiled "my mother was very music orrientated so fine tuning that craft even more would be very much worth my while" he said and sat up a little straighter "but sayuri is right, im sorry for clouding your family get together with talk of business. maybe someday you and i can talk more of you banking business, im very interested int he works of such a economically smart company." he said but it was obvious to anyone who knew the regular hiko he wasnt long for this world.
Re: Maid vs Host
Marri quickly guzled down the tea adn took a deep breath, " AHHHH, she does eat the weird stuff at work.... "
she smiled tanking another bite to get the edge off the sting.
" but yeah.. i have always been the wimp. " she giggled noticing that she had sat down closer to him after her littel dance of shame...
he had pulled her down by her hand right next to him. " ah... its... its still good im having fun. "
