Maid vs Host

Marii blushed slightly, “ yeah… I do feel better. “ she sniffled before smiling, “ thanks Ryo… really what would I do with out you. “

She sighed letting her body relax completely.
That was the past and know she needed to pay attention to the present were she was Right
Now with Ryo.

Smiling she hugged him again, “ you’re the BEST!” she said feeling so much more lighter then before…. She didn’t know why… but she felt she could trust him with the world.

Hiru smiled “ well… if I were boots I would be jealous to…seeing as im getting most of your kisses now. “

Getting up he walked to the do, “ be ready to go I like hour kay? The car should be here then” he said smiling before going to wait out in the living space.

Sayuri blushed wildly in his arms feeling that warmth from his kiss radiating through her. She was being held down by her waist, with him just as close as they were that morning. ‘You cuddle nice..’ The words from earlier mixed in with the ‘I love you’ and ‘I’ve been being good for you.’ He was doing this for her, he was making himself be careful with her though it was hard on him. She felt her heart beat quicken and her lips formed a stubborn line. “I don’t want to make anything difficult.” She was surprised that came out of her mouth, though the lightness of her voice from her awkwardness made her feel she had barely said anything at all. “I-I just don’t know what to do when I’m with you…” She said and blushed. “I just don’t get you.” She bit her lip. She looked back up at him mustering up enough of her confidence to speak the next words. “But when you ask me if it’s working..I think it’s sweet.” She let the hand that was already against his cheek rub a thumb along his cheek softly. “But I already like you..”

Ryo blushed at her remark and cleared his throat slightly. “Um, maybe not the best.” He said though he hugged her back. He liked how nicely she fit into his arms. He cleared his throat pulling away slightly with a blush. “Um, well I think we should start heading back. It’s going to be late soon…” He said in the meanwhile thinking how much he’d rather stay. Maybe he was taking this whole hold me and I trust you with the story of my life thing a bit too far in the direction it meant she was only interested in being friends. Maybe she actually did have the same spark of something he felt…but did he honestly want to risk that after just knowing the girl for a few days…His head was all muddled with thoughts and he’d yet to realize he didn’t let go of her.

Marii shivering in the slight breeze as she nodded in agreement though didn’t way a thing about it at all.

She sighed enjoying his warmth, “ yeah… “ she said breathing in his simple sent before pulling away reluctantly. She would stay there in his arms… but perhaps he would dislike a clingy girl… if… he even thought of her as a girl…

She smiled, “ yeah… hehe… I should probably get home then huh.. “ she smiled and sighed yet again.

She didn’t bring anything… so it would be easy to get home… though she wanted to ask him to walk her home…” ah… would you sort of… walk with me… if that is you want or have some time to that is… an yeah… “

Ryo smiled actually glad to hear her offer. "Yeah, sure." He said taking her hand. As they walked down the steps and out of the park he was beginning to realize that he'd never really done any of this for any girl before. The girls that came into the Host cafe came, left and faded drom his thoughts only to return again the next day for the same old routine. With Marii though he didn't have to act like he enjoyed spending time with her. "This was fun. And to think I wanted to stay inside today." He laughed then shrugged. "I hope going to the festival with you will top today though." He said just as they rounded the corner.

The short train ride with Ryo was great… she enjoyed holding his hand.

She simply didn’t let go after he took a hold of it, as they rounded the corner out into the street by the train station Marii smiled, “ yeah… I hope, that with you I can start thinking of the Festival as a fun place to be again. “ she said a slight blush to her cheeks.

Suddenly a fire truck hurdled around the corner its sirens blaring as it stormed down the street towards Marri’s apartment complex.

“ oh no. “ she gasped looking out and down the block seeing a fire not too far off, “ please… please don’t tell me… that… “ still holding Ryo’s hand tightly she ran down the street hoping that it wasn’t her home on fire… all of her things were there.

Her work cloths, all her belonging… all her art. Even her courage levithin….. “ NO!” she cried out seeing that it was indeed her apartment burning… the whole damn place was engulfed in flames as she orange and red tongs’ devoured the place…

“ every thing… its… its all gone…. “ she gasped her legs going week as she slid to the gowned tears filling her eye’s. “ im done for .. “ she whispered in shock.

Hiko smiled at her comment and leaned into her hand "i can live with like... for now" he said and kissed her hand. then leaned down close to her lips, he hand one hand run up her back and cradle her shoulders and neck lightly while the other resting ont he swell of her back. he smiled leaning in to kiss her his lips barely touching hers before the door swung open and he almost jumped through his skin "JESUS!" he growled turning and glaring at kim "i made breakfast and its ready hurry up before your eggs get cold" she said and he smiled licking his lips and picking sayuri up like a baby smiling "breakfast awaits my darling" he said dramatically his mood going from serious to goofy. he waltzed into the kitchen spinning her around before setting her in her seat at the table "well i slept pretty damn good what about you kim?" he said sitting down at his own spot at the table "eh" she shrugged "same old same old" she said and he nodded "kimy doesnt sleep well on anything that isnt worht 50 grand" hiko said rolling his eyes and she stuck her tongue out at him

Chi walked into the kitchen wearing a little white sun dress with black trim on it and a black bow at the bust "o-ok i think im ready" she said blushing a little as she walked up to him. she rarely wore dressed but she seemed to do it more often with hiru here... maybe she was trying to impress him? she shrugged off the questions in her hea dand ran up grabbing his hand getting on her tip toes and kissing his chin. she ran outside and waited ont he front steps for him "you coming slow poke?" she asked with a giggle

Sayuri looked at the breakfast and instantly noticed it was edible, unlike her burned food regime. ’50 grand?’ She wished he was joking but after hearing Kim’s ‘I’m from Paris’ model story she knew he was only slightly joking. She was still flustered from being carried and swung around. It kind of made her feel like she was being self important but she couldn’t deny she didn’t like being in Hiko’s arms rather than someone else. If only she’d gotten that kiss though…Her blush had died down a little from the, almost, kiss. Kim always knew when to jump in. “yum eggs.”She smiled though she knew it was in vain towards Kim. “Thanks.”

Marii had barely gotten a good distance from the apartment when Ryo could already smell the smoke. The worst part was when she realized it was hers….he’d never heard anyone cry out in such sadness before. “hey,” He knelt down, placing a hand gently on her cheek to take her eyes off the fire to look at him. “Marii-uh-“ he wanted to kick himself for not knowing what to say. He couldn’t say anything to make this all better, it just wasn’t possible. A police officer nearly tripped over the two and when he paused to scold them for being in the way he noticed Marii on the ground.
“Ma’am we’re you one of the residents-?”
“Yes.” Ryo answered his eyes narrowing slightly at the sudden distraction. The officer nodded and cleared his throat.
“We aren’t positive what started it…we have another resident that’s saying they left the oven on.” Ryo shook his head and gave the officer a questionate look. It was a look that was asking if anything was even salvageable from that old place. The officer paused a moment, before shaking his head. Ryo swallowed hard and looked back at Marii. If there wasn’t much they could do, she shouldn’t be here watching it burn to the ground.
“Ne, Marii-chan?” He said practically lifting her up and supporting her though she didn’t seem willing to stand at the moment. “it’s getting crowded, we should probably..um..” He was a little in shock himself and his words just weren’t sounding as strong and supportive as he wished they could. He began to pull her away from the scene as police and stunned gawking people came to view the drama.

Hiru smiled… he was glad he had told her to pay him back in kisses… he had decided he could never get enough of how sweet and innocent she was….

Hiru come out the door as the same black car that picked them up the other night arrived. The ride to the air port was quick seeing as the traffic was not bad.

They went strait to the back of the terminal passing all the check points with out having to stand in line till they reached the family jet getting on just the two of them.

After getting strapped in and up in the air Hiru finally relaxed, he had not been sure Chi would agree to kisses for a trip to the Philippians…

“ so… have you ever flown before? “ he asked curious, “ and have you ever been to the Philippians islands before?”

Marii was in a blur as Ryo pulled her way form the end of everything for her. “ Ryo… what will I do… where will I live…” she sobbed as her tears started to slow down her body heavy with weariness.

“ Ne… Ryo… *hicup* can… can I stay with you…. *hicup* just for the night… please I wont take up much space I promise. “ she said looking up at him her eye’s large with worry.

hiko smiled as he shoveled some of the food in his mouth

"aw thankies darling!" kim cooed but gave a bit of a harsh look towards sayuri.

hiko blinked sensing the tension and cleared his throat " well then girls what are we to do today?" he asked and kim smiled "show me around town aki!!!" she said and giggled brightly but hiko was looking at sayuri to see what she wanted to do

chi blinked nervously then smiled "no this is my first time on a plane... this is my first time out of japan" she said with a blush "thank you hiru-kun. i still feel like its to much tho. this all had to be really expensive" she said and looked out the window and instantly terror struck her eyes "we are really high up" she stated gripping her chair arms tightly

(srry got in trouble and the internet has been down thnx to thunderstorms and high winds.)
Sayuri felt Hiko’s eyes on her and fidgeted with her fork. What did she want to do? A descision she never really got to make much anymore. Then there came the knowledge of Kim. It wasn’t like she’d be able to do much of anything with her around.
“I think it would be fun to show Kim a few of the sights around here. I’ve been wanting to go to the bargain market for a while now anyways.” She said with a smile though she’d really be up for anything that involved not leaving Kim alone with Hiko.

Ryo had just been about to suggest the same till she asked him. She shouldn’t have had to ask though. Hadn’t he said he was going to be there for her? He nodded, the arm that was around her tightening a little. “Of course Marii-chan. As long as you need to…” He winced at a siren and began walking again, taking the short cut to his apartment. He was more than glad that the fumes of the smoke didn’t hang in the air around them over near the center of the city where he lived. It would at least help Marii out a little.
He climbed the stairs with her slower than he normally would, actually noticing how nice the place was compared to Marii’s old place. He frowned slightly as they came to his door, not sparing any time to retrieve the key to let them in. It was a very American floor plan, since Miu’s father had recently become obsessed with appealing to foreigners. The apartment opened up into a good sized living room area that basically contained a couch, a coffee table and a tv with an open kitchen off to the side. A hallways lead back father into the apartment, into where two doors sat, one to the bathroom and the other to the bed room. The simple set up seemed to fit him in a way.
“Sorry, it’s a bit messy.” He said and released his grip on her and took a step to the side. After all, in the time he spent with her hadn’t expected something like this to happen. He walked into the kitchen and made a sweeping gesture towards the room. “And yeah, this is my place.” He opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle before looking back at her. “Want anything?” He asked motioning towards the water bottle.

Hiru got out of his chair and pulled her into his lap giving the Chair arms a reast. “ don’t worry about tit… it just mean’s you own me a lot of kisses.. .and yeah… high up… that is the point sugar, “ he smiled.

He loved how simple she was… in her cloths and answers… she just made life so much more bearable… real.

The ride was not too long and they arrived quickly to be packed into a limonene and taken to his family vacation home, “ know… we own this place so I saved a lot of money I promise I didn’t waste anything okay. “

“ AH Rachel. “ he called the a maid, “ Take Chi to her room and help her unpack “

Turning to chi he smiled and pulled her into shi arms kissing her nose, “ go and relax a little I just have a … little work I need to do okay?”

He then took his leave as Rachel took Chi’s bags, “ this way miss. “ she said with a stuck up tone.

She obviously didn’t like Chi… not one little bit… who the hell was she after all? N o one important.

Marii took the water bottle and took a sip looking about very impressed… this was…. Bigger then her mothers home after her father died…

She looked around, “ it…. Your apartment… its nice. “ she said looking about impressed…. It made her apartment look like a closet full of junk…

“ im sorry for making you come and have tea you must have been uncomfortable in my Apartment… well what was… my apartment.. “

She looked down, “ could… could I use your shower…and…something to sleep in… “ she asked. She hated to be a burden… and in this case she was completely dependent on him…

"eh..." she said uneasily following the woman into the house and up stairs through hallways. she felt like she would never make it to an exit in the event of a fire. she looked around at all the expensive items and sighed 'hes so well off... why wouldnt i have noticed? obviously he even carries himself with that air of importance.' she thought and then bumped into the maid since she wasnt paying attention and stood back wide eyed as she glared at her pointing to the room. "t-thankyou" she bowed then walked in and looked around. the room was at least 3 times the size of her own at home. she gapped at it and walked around looking at all of the expensive antique decor. she walked to the bed and sat down feeling very... out of place. the bed matched the furniture matched the curtains matched the maid matched and hiru matched... but there was no match for chi and she felt very alone suddenly. she pulled her thoughts out of her head and walked to the bathroom fixing her hair and washing her face. she saw all the expensive looking makeup and blinked. "hm... beach..." she said looking out at the water outside of the window. she smiled and walked out to her room pulling her dress off and putting a bathing suit on with a tiny little skirt shall that went around her botton with little flowers on it. she put sun screen on and then walked out of her room looking aroud trying to find an exit to the never ending mansion. she gave up shortly and went back to her room looking around. she walked out onto the balchoney and looked at the distance to the ground. it was pretty far but if she could climb down enough she figured the sand would break most of the fall. she flipped her legs over and jumped tumbling slighty onto the sand. she giggled and got up brushing the sand off her butt and looking around at the beach. not a soul to be found for miles. she smiled walking out to the water. she sat down just a little bit before the water started and put her hands on her knees resting her head on them and looking out at the ocean. she smiled and then looked at the seaguls next to her and smiled "hihi guys" she said holding her hand out. all but one fluttered off in fear and the one that didnt walked over and pecked lightly at her hand "your an odd ball too eh?" she said and lightly stroked the feathers on the top of his head "but it doesnt make you any less special" she said and it cawed at her and she giggled "you should go before you get lost tho" she said and patted his head and he flew off. she looked at the water and screamed as loud as she could. it felt good to finally be able to get some of her feelings out. her feelings of being trapped, lost, alone. she walked to run intot he water and not stop swimming until she hit american shores. and she didnt even know why.

Ryo thought she would be most likely be thinking she was a burden. She wouldn't say it out right, but he watned her to know she was okay to be here, that it wasn't any trouble. "Sure, let me go see if I can find something for you." He smiled walking into the back to riffle through drawers till he finally found a regular t-shirt with a small logo on it and a pair of athletic shorts that she could tie so they wouldn't be as baggy. He met her back in the living room and presented her with the clothes. "Not much, I know, but I'll have to wait till Sayuri gets back for her to lend you some-girl clothes." He trie to word it. "Oh and the showers down the hall and to the left. You're welcome to use anything in there and towels were under the sink last time I checked." He said before stretching sort of awkwardly and walked over to the couch. He sat down all the while thinking that this was the first time anyone besides Syauri had ever been here let alone using his shower.

Ryo was something else , he was so kind. She made her way back to the bathroom shutting the door and finding a towel quickly as she set things up to take her shower.

Turning on the water she hoped in letting the hot water sooth her as she washed up. She noticed the smell of the shampoo Ryo used … she would smell like him…

She smiled at this before getting out and changing before going out into the kitchen before sitting next to Ryo on the couch. “Thanks Ryo, “ she said with a gentle expression on her face. Leaning into his shoulder she sighed feeling his warmth.

“ can…we just stay like this for a little while” Marii whispered.

Hiru found Chi out on the beach once he got the paper work for his father done.

Smiling he dropped down on tope of the sand, “ hmmmmn, is this were my little panda girl escaped to . “ he said

Using his hand he wiped the hair form his face. And smiled, “ sorry I have to do work while im here… it was the condition of using the house suddenly. “

He smiled, “ I made sure I used the lowest amount of money I could just for you. I want you to be comfortable and enjoy your self.“

He got up reaching down for her hand, “ know, “ he stated with a confident grin on his face, “ you and I am going to the local park for a boat ride out on the lake. “.

“ come on!” he said happily.

Ryo couldn’t help feeling the surprise of Aka in his clothes though he gave them to her. The way she leaned against him brought a blush to his face at the simple warmth she provided. It felt natural with her around like this. He smiled ignoring his constant internal nagging that he should hold her closer and tell her he wanted to stay like this for much much longer but he feared the stress of the day would make the action come off in a bad way.
“Alright.” He said relaxing a little as the tv droned on and on about some movie. He watched it for a little while and rolled his eyes as the main character went from having nothing to having absolutely everything they wanted. “If only reality worked like that.” He chuckled half heartedly and let his eyes drift close as he fell into a half sleep.

Marii game to move no mind she instead listened to Ryo breath next to her as she melted into his side feeling….. Happy? That she was there… despite all the travesty of today..

She looked up at him to ask him a question when she realized he was asleep.

She sat up and studied his face for a moment and smiled he had such long lashes… did all boy’s have long lashes…

She smiled gently and got up and gently moved the hair from his face watching him sleep a moment before putting the blanket over the couch on him.

She made her way to the kitchen looking into the fridge looking inside finding only eggs and some left over rice. Smiling she pulled them out and listened as her tummy grumbled lightly.

Despite how long time seemed to take it also disappeared as soon as she stepped into Ryo’s home. She found the pan she needed and tried to be quiet while she made some egg’s to go with the reheated rice. It would be nice but simple… hopefully Ryo wouldn’t mind if she made dinner…

Marii peeked into the living room for a moment seeing him still sleeping peacefully and felt her heart jump as a blush came to her face at the entire situation… it was a cheese romance manga’s she read as a little girl….

She smiled at this, “ that makes me the heroin “ she giggled quietly at her own little joke.

hiko smiled "then its settled we will go around town!" he said and got up "lets all get ready come on!" he said excitedly. after everyone had showered or dressed and gotten ready he grabbed a tiny backpack and a pair of sunglasses "come on slow poke!" hee said to kim pulling sayuri onto his back and running up the hill he laughed and set her down after they got to town and got out his camera taking pictures of kim and sayuriand ones with all three of them and ones with him and each girl. they went inside of stores and they tried on hats and he took pictures... more so with sayuri of them wearing funky glasses and big floppy hats.

hiko pulled on a scarf a pair of old lady glasses and a floppy sun hat and chased customers around using an old lady voice trying to talk to them. they 'left' or got kicked out and he took them to get ice cream and pulled the "my ice cream smells funny" trick on kim and bopped some on her nose only to get chased down the street. as the day went on kim got less and less threatening towards sayuri and actually by mid afternoon was laughing and being nice to her. it was just an all around wonderful day. then they heard it. it was the sound of a sax and a guitar harmonizing in the park. he dragged the girls over and smiled walking into the circle of the crowd that was listing and taking sayuri's hand "may i have this dance?" he asked smiling

chi smiled at hiru and ran after him wrapping her arm around his leaning her head on his shoulder as they walked "thank you for trying for me hiru-kun" she said with a sigh snuggling into his arm as they walked

Ryo twitched in his sleep and sucked in a breath as he shifted. He caught the scent of something cooking and was curious for a second. Had he left the stove on and fallen asleep on the couch? That seemed unlike him, but he knew he was forgetting something. What though? He shifted to sit up and found the blanket and squinted at it. That’s when his memory caught up with himself. Marii was here and he’d been watching something on tv when the day had caught up with him and the lack of sleep. He stretched and got to his feet shaking his hair out of his face as he walked to the kitchen. He leaned against the door frame as she cooked and he picked up on the fact that the only thing besides water in his fridge was very little ingredients for anything. He normally ate at the host club. “Damn, forgot to go to the grocery store again.” He said with the egg carton in hand and peeked over her shoulder. “Smells good.” He said in all seriousness then became aware his head almost practically rested on her shoulder. He pulled back a little and went to grab some glasses for something to drink. “Sorry I passed out on you there.” He added and wanted to kick himself for not offering to order her some dinner instead of making her cook, not that he was complaining though…

Sayuri blushed when she was pulled into the crowd especially when she noticed people staring, Hiko in particular. “Hiko-san I can’t-” She wanted to say she couldn’t dance but then again that wouldn’t help her. She knew he wouldn’t take that as an excuse and chose to simply nod instead of words that could fail her when he smiled at her like that. When he pulled her close she accidentally stepped on his foot and pulled her foot away from his in surprise and embarrassment at the fact they hadn’t even started dancing quite yet. “Sorry, I-ah-clumsy.” Was all she could manage to sputter out.

hiko just smiled at her "its ok" he smiled and then got an idea and put his hands under sayuri's arms lifting her so she was standing on his shoes "dont worry your as light as a feather" he whispered into her ear and danced around to the music he pulled her off his feet and smiled spinning her in a twirl then pulling her back so that she was close to his body he smiled his hand on her hip guiding her through the steps

"dont look down" he said to her taking a hand and pulling her eyes to his dancing around the little circle he smiled and when the song ended he bowed for her and laughed as the crowd clapped "they all think your pretty sayuri. thats why they clapped" he whispered to her and when she blushed he took a deep breath 'god shes too cute for words!' he thought and looked around "kim?" he said and she was talking to the man who had been playing the sax and he smiled at her chatting it up

hiko rolled his eyes and took sayuri's hand spinning her in a twirl again. "your a beautiful dancer sayuri" he said pulling her close and kissing her cheek

Sayuri's face was red but she was smiling brightly. That had to have been the first time she'd danced without tripping over her own feet and got to be with Hiko. "With the help of an even better dancer." She said though being against Hiko the whole time had made her heart beat jump and her wish he wouldn't let go. When she was kissed by him, she wanted to make herself keep her composure and be as easy as Kim seemed to be around Hiko but everything about him was so exciting. She still blushed but found herself still bale to make full sentances. "You always find a way to surprise me." She said meaning it in all honesty when she hugged him. "So much fun." She half giggled, a sound she wasn't used to hearing.

hiko looked down at sayuri. he was fighting everything inside himself not to kiss her "sayuri..." he said leaning down tilting her chin upward just slightly parting her lips. he tooka deep breath and then stopped himself "your so beautiful" he said letting go of her face grabbing her hand and watching as kim bounced back over to them "hey hey hey!" she said with a chuckle "what are you two up to hm? you best not be cheating on me hiko" she joked wrapping her arm around hikos

Mari jumped slightly when Ryo announced he had forgotten the grocery’s, she sighed, “ its all good, I’m not up to eating much any way… something simple like this will be more then good enough. “ she said gently as she felt him peek over her shoulder.

His heat soaked into her body like water into dry and parched soil. She blushed grateful he had pulled back a little to grab a drink.

Putting the egg’s over the two bowls of rice she turned putting them together on the bar, “ all is good Ryo.. Lets just eat dinner. “ she said taking a seat and patting the place next to her.

Smiling she took a bite, “ you know… this is the first time in a long time I have eaten dinner with any one other then at work.” she said thinking about the years she had spent eating alone. It was more then nice to know some one was always near by… it was comforting knowing that Ryo was always with in voice distance.

She didn’t want to admit it… but she honestly didn’t was to go and look into getting a new place, if she could even find a place to live for the price of her current… no her late apartment.

She still had not felt the full brunt of understanding that her everything was gone… she would selfishly indulge in this some what fantasy with Ryo… she would pretend for tonight only that Ryo was her family and that she was always welcome here…m

Till tomorrow… she would go to look for a new home… she would leave before Ryo got up. So that he would not be troubled by her.

She sighed looking at the stove, the kitchen and everything… it was such a nice place. Truthfully she had never lived in such a nice place before. She had always been poor, she worked hard for what she had… what she had and lost. But she was strong she could gain it back.

the park was more truthfully a public garden owned by his family. But calling it a park seemed more practical as they came up on the privet dock on the vast man made lake.

The willows shading the cool green water as he helped Chi not the two person boat.

He used the ors to row them out to the middle of the lake so that they could look out at the small toy boats, kites, and family’s on the banks of the lake.

Leaning back Hiru sighed letting his head reast in Chi’s lap, “ sorry, is it okay if I lay my head in your lap for a moment. “ he asked.

He was tired… the amount of paperwork was overwhelming… he had gotten a good full days work done in a few hours… he was more then motivated to get done to go and play with Chi.

“ I.. just need to shut my eye’s for a moment. “ he murmured as he relaxed. “ my mother would take me out on the lake all the time when I was little “ he said smiling eye’s still closed.

He enjoyed the nostalgic feel and smell of the rocking boat and cool breeze. “ you remind me of her some times you know.. “ he said as his breathing evened out, “ that is one of the reasons I love you I think. “ he said as she fell asleep there in her lap.

Sayuri had been anticipating the kiss and time seemed to slow down for a moment making his pulling away seem more drawn out. She blinked when Kim joined them, her expression a little less than shocked and along the lines of confused. Did she do something wrong? She snapped herself out of her daze and glanced up at Hiko? Just looking at him gave her the fluttery feeling and she forced her eyes to find something else. Everywhere she looked though she couldn’t make herself notice him at her side. She refused to show her worry and smiled brightly. “Ne, Kim, are you having fun?” She asked but she squeezed Hiko’s hand slightly.

Ryo sat down next to her and took a bite from the egg. He loved eggs and the fact Marii made them made them taste even better. He swallowed and nodded. “Same here but I think I like home made dinners better.” He said and smiled. It was a little odd for him to have someone here with him in a space, where he wasn’t Ryo the host. But Marii seemed to bring out the best in him. He took another bite. “You’re the best Marii-chan.” He said then his phone buzzed on the counter. He picked it up and found it was a message from Miu.
‘Aw Ryo-kun, you’re so mean for making me message you first when I have good news! Father says your friend is allowed to stay in this apartment complex for half price, if they promise to pay their rent on time. I’ll stop by to drop off the key tomorrow. I wish you’d tell me who it is tho, I wanna meet Ryo’s cute friends!’
Ryo couldn’t help his smile though Miu normally made him want to roll his eyes. He placed his phone down and looked back at Marii. “Thanks Marii, I’ll have to repay you for this.” He said, happyhe had a good surprise for her tomorrow when he would be able to give her the keys to her new apartment.

Marii blushed at his words of praise, “ I don’t know about the best but I always try to be the best me that I can. “ looking down at her bowl.

She was trying to hide her smile at his words, sure she herd them at work… but from Ryo it seemed to have a different meaning.

She regained her composure as he read the text and took a look at him from the side and his smile at the text making her feel a little hurt.

Was it a girl friend… that was making him smile so much at a single text. She looked down and away hiding her expression and replacing it with a neutral one.

“ no… you don’t have to pay me back… you are ama- wonderful, and I thank you for everything… “ she smiled a little sadly, “ you know… I’m tired… I think I should just go to bed… tomorrow will be something else after all.”

She sighed, “ I don’t know what I would do with out Ryo. Your realy are my super hero. “ she whispered to him looking at him as if begging for him to tell her that everything was okay… that he wouldn’t make her leave, that she could always stay by his side… but that would never happen… nerver.
