Seeing Seymour or Yunalesca would be neat, although it wouldn't have anything to do with Jecht's new costume, Square doesn't like to balance things out if you haven't noticed.

I just had a thought, the different costumes shown in trailers could be a way to show that Alternate costumes will appear in cutscenes. In the last game if you changed your costume in story it would go back to default.

I know it sounds like a dumb update to show off but its a nice detail (Plus Terra should have Green hair)

I don't think so, I think they were just promoting the alternate costumes, it'd be a serious HIDDEN message if they were showing alternates in FMV just to say that they're including story mode alternates...seems pointless to me.

I don't care about the graphical look of the game. In fact, Dissidia's graphics with some things like character models are the best for the hardware. It's gameplay and story I care about and Dissidia was stale in both departments. I understand story because it's just supposed to be a game where an FF fan's dreams come true. We play characters we love in the series and kill characters we hate in the series. You know how fucking satisfying it was when I was beaming Cloud and Squall into the fucking pavement?

But I wish the gameplay struck me more. It got so repetative as the game went on. Pound O button until you has lots of bravery. EX BURST. Now press Square. Battle ovar DUNDUNDUNDUN DUN DUN DUDUDUUUUUN!!!

@Zane: I think that's what they were going for with Terra's costume. They're bringing in other FF characters to be costumes as well as other Square characters like Eve for Lightning. I'd lol hard if Zidane had an alternative costume that was either a suit of armor or he has dreadlocks. Or even a moogle suit.

@Cap'n, it takes the truly stubborn to complete the game, Story Mode is glitched on my disc or something, because I can't get 100% for all but two stories. And I devoted hours trying to figure the damn thing out.

@RY, that is a seriously hidden reference there for Jecht, nobody really paid attention in the opening scene of X, things blew up, people died and Sin sucked up Tidus through his ass wormhole, and that's all I caught.

^I think they added a world map to expand the single player, it actually looks great (this could be the last FF with a proper world map sadly though)

The costume seems to be darker, a bit bolder and also his hair also is a lot more pointed at the front


I'm also trying to find the screen I saw of Laguna talking to Squall. I also predict Laguna's alternate costume will be his soldier garb.

Something else I was thinking, which may just be a wishful thought. If they have a 3rd character for V it could be Gilgamesh (it was his debut game afterall (plus he started off bad and then helped you, I'm sure they could develop that into the plot)). Also I don't think I mentioned this but my money on X's 3rd character is Gunner Yuna (one thing it would make sure the game isn't a complete sausage fest)

Just curious who are people looking forward to playing as the most. I'm torn between Laguna and Tifa. Although Tifa can be made to stop mid attack to warp behind foes and hit them.

Also did anyone else know that the games creator said he wouldn't make this sequel if he couldn't put Tifa in it.

^It's cause Nomura is a self-obsessed moron. He created Tifa, so why not refuse to make a game if he can't have his fave in it? >_>

I'm really excited that Sephy has his original look back, the bangs standing out really makes the intimidation level go up for me. lol

Still not happy about Vaan's inclusion, even though the graphics make him look less of a fashionable hobo now, I still can't see myself using him for more than the required amount.

As for X's third character, it would seriusly not surprise me if they throw in Gunner Yuna, they've sunk to throwing in Cloud's KH outfit, so why not throw in a spinoff character? Jesus, this game just might suck.

My mains will most likely be Lightning, Kain and Cecil out of fandom, and since I've only seen footage of Laguna and Lightning, I can't say who my best will be.

Laguna really looks good in these graphics. Something about the light hitting his face in the first shot is just flattering for him. Same with Tifa for that matter.

Okay, I managed to play XIII today and now I'm excited to use Lightning.

^Lightning and Sazh are probably the best thing about XIII, Vanille is a nice piece of virtual TnA and the story is good but everything else lacks. It felt more like a chore then entertainment to me.

Figured out Squalls costume

according to FF Wiki
"In Dissidia 012, Squall's third costume is more heavily based on Yoshitaka Amano's original artwork, with Squall wearing a black sleeveless tank top with fingerless gloves in combination with the belt, sash, pants and boots from his original Dissidia outfit."

I think sleeves fit him better, just sayin'.

I see it. But Nomura has a tendency to make Amano's cool concept sketches into Drag Queen shit. But some of Amano's designs I think we can agree look retarded. Laguna's concept by Amano makes him look like a woman (which he already does).

Nomura and Amano cancel each other's designs out, I feel, that, or it's the designers' fault. >_>

And like I said earlier, I'm not fond of Amano's concept designs, but his artwork is most boss, most BOSS indeed.

Oh yeah something that you might be happy to hear Cap, in some trailers people are seeing a new stage that slightly resembles the Prima Vista (the theater ship from Final Fantasy IX). It's not a conformation but I will look into it some more.

I hear Shinra is making an appearance as a stage, my friend keeps telling me about it. I'm actually excited to see it.

The NA site has been up for a while, and now they're allowing wallpaper downloads. I got the Lightning version.

Why does Square always have to make such stupid game titles? Why isn't it just Dissidia 2, and what the hell does Dissidia even mean? What is the 012 for? is that bc it will be released in 2012? And what is a duodecim, sounds like part of your intestine to me.

Yuna has been confirmed by FFWiki and several other sources. This is the only image of her but it's made pretty obvious by the dress. She seems she'll fight like a summoner and not a retarded cheerleader.



@Zack: Duodecim- It's ancient latin for 12. I don't know why it's called Dissidia, it's Japanese. They have to make EVERYTHING sound whimsical and enchanting. The game comes out in April 2011. It's supposed to be a prequel. I don't know why it's called Duodecim, it'll be revealed when the game comes out.
