I'm as suprised as you, was in Media and a mate was looking at it.

Kinda weird though, as I'm certain I read that the spin offs for XIII wouldn't continue Lightning's story and instead just be set in the world. I might wait to see what this one is like before I buy it.

Also is it me or does Lightning's new look kinda resemble Beatrix's armour from IX? (it could just be the shield thats making me think like that)

if it comes out on the 360 like normal XIII did then i'm definatly getting it!

Lightning looks good in armour, though But I prefer the other outfit,lol. (it tells more about the character)

Well seeing as though Snow is with Serah and Serah is Lightning's sisters and I'm pretty sure the writers would want to explore that sister relationship further (just my take not a confirmation) I wouldn't be suprised if we do see him.

Sazh (yay) and Hope (BOO!!) however I wouldn't be surpised if they only made a brief second cameo during some tedious side mission or something.

Though I think I know the reason why this game has been made, it's obviously to answer the biggest question that plagued or minds since XIII came out.

Square apparently paid no attention to the decline of the FFX story as they released X-2 and saw that no one liked it. But it made money for them since people were expecting a great game, so they're making the same mistake again for money.

Apparently there's a new heroine for this spin off and it's not going to be Lightning, I read a review for it somewhere (I'll get the link) but as you can clearly see in the trailer there is a woman standing behind Lightning.

appears to be a money ploy, and yes it will be on the 360 for anyone wondering--however versus is still ps3 exclusive, and agito Xiii on the psp is now called Type 0 or something

HAHAHAHA!!!! They're making ANOTHER character to steal the main character's thunder. Or in this case, Lightning ;B...

The new character from that trailer. She's going to be like Pain aka Diet Lulu. So it's Diet Lightning who is really Diet Cloud. She's like a negative version of the main character but since Lightning is such a drag character, the game is gonna be heavy with "DRAMA" and "EMOTIONS" between the two.

I hated X-2's story, but for the same reason of Birth by Sleep, I enjoyed the gameplay. Unfortunately, that's all Square needs to make a few extra bucks.

hell if lightning was the antagonist, that would make it even more interesting, but i don't see it happening

I see what you mean, Erel. I'll admit, by itself, X-2's story was just as captivating as X, but when you think of it as the sequel it is....it's just terrible.
