Re: Final Fantasy XIII
This game is just awesome ! Gotta adore Vanille (only her voice is a little.. High ^^')
I agree it hasn't got the "FF feeling", but it's new and I still like it :3
I just can't play that much, because we've got some small exams soon and I'm stuck with Shiva, haha (I don't understand how to defeat it xD)
But that chocobo + Odin as horse = l.o.v.e

Heh. Well... as much I'd like to help you out Smiles, I think I want you to get a few more tries. It's actually easier than I thought.
Well... I'm really addicted to this game. This new change for FF is for the better.
And Vanille is awesome. her and Lightning are one of my favorite characters now, if I haven't emphasized that enough.

Yeah although Vanille has a british australian accent O.o That's what was weird.
Don't leak out information about the game please!
**SPOILER** Highlight the text to read it.

For some reason I had a harder time with Shiva than Odin... lol. But once I figured Shiva, it was easy!
A hott Brittish Australian Accent Gal. Man. I haven't felt this inlove since X-2.
I hate Hope btw. I hate controlling him, although he is my best magic user.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
*Idea storming* New topic emerging.
Anyway, I saw a guy at my dorm playing it. Okay so far. I like Sahz, he's like Eddy Murphy with an afro. One of his nicknames is Chocofro so that is what Sahz is to be referred to as from now on. Seems annoying you can't pick your team leader and I miss the days of 4 party members at once.

I hate Hope. I hate the fact that he's my leader in the current moment.
I'm okay with being able to use only one character, but eventually I want to be able to pick my own team Leader.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
Yeah, I saw Hope for the first time... his fucking weapon is a Boomerang? Really? Come on Square, did you make this kid to be hated by everyone outside Japan. At least Snow is a real man from what I've seen, same with Sahz Chocofro.
BTW, no more talky about the story here. talk about it in the topic I made.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
For as much you hate Rikku, I'm surprised you didn't say you hate Vanille, Zack. I think she's like 17.... prolly same age as Rikku/Yuffie/Selphie/Penelo
btw.... we should continue our conversations on the semi spoiler thread since I made this one for those anticipating or not anticipating the relase of FFXIII.
Mod, close this thread please.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
I'm still using this thread, simply because I'm still anticipating the game. >_>
Good news, though, I'm selling my PS2 to my brother in law with my credentials along with it, he's giving me about $200, so I can knock out 2/3 of the PS3 price right off the bat.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
Im going to be honest about this game rite now so.....
*****************SPOILERS!!!!!!***************
This game is one of the best games in the final fantasy franchise...period. But i only limit this to story and character development and of course the graphics. They rival the games on the playstation 1.
However after you finish the game and do the 'sidequests' this is where the greatness stops. The only thing you can do is the Cei'th missions...and that is unbearabally repetietive. The hardest fight in the game isnt even that hard on account thats its REALY easy to max out your stats. The one thing i was looking forward to after finishing the game was fighting that mega big thing that you see in the first clip when you get to pulse and you couldnt even do that.
************END SPOILERS****************
Well, this is just my personal oppinion, it may not be yours.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
That is the biggest Flaw in FF. the lack of good Side Quest. Fun battles but yes. Redundant.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
I thought the sidequests in the early games (by that i mean VII-IX) were quite good and thats where the endless hours of play came from

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
I meant to say FFXIII's biggest flaw is the lack of sidequest.
Don't forget FFVI. Getting Other characters through sidequest is now lacking in a lot of main JRPG's.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
Agreed. on my top five fave FF.
I still like FFVI and FFVII's idea of hidden characters.
Of course I liked FFX-2's sidequest of seeing Rikku's different Dress Spheres.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
The Pardigm Shift was a quicker version of it if you think about it.
Besides, yes you are right, not the greatest BUT... girls shifting clothes in battle. I appreciate that.
FFXII um.... there was an FFXII? lol.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII
Did I mention I died once or twice because of that godamn first shift?
But I usually fixed it with the Army Of One Trick.
