Maid vs Host

Marii was suprized fully when Sayuri tossed the phone at her, " AH... thanks.... " she said lifting the phone to her ear walking back to the managers office.

" um... this is Ryo.. right.. well i mean.. it it.so yeah. " she chuckeld nervously, she felt silly being on the phone, " i have your sketch pad... you left it at the clinic and i picked it up when i grabed more medicin... if... that is... if you want i can help you out... your work is good... you just need... direction. "

she felt bad to be judging his work with out permition to even look at it. Marii sighed," well... i.. sorry for looking .. im just serious about my art work. " she giggled nervously.

Chi walked into work smiling as she skipped and jumped around happily. it was nice having Hiru stay with her. she liked his tough exterior yet he seemed shy sometimes which made her giggle. and she couldnt wait to celebrate and pick strawberries with him tomorro. it would be the highlight of her month.

she traveled around her head in a cloud. not paying attention to what anyone was really saying until usagi-san showed up and grabbed her hand pulling her close "ah... hi hi usagi-sama" she said and he smiled giving her a hug "hello chi-chan" he said and sat down with her "who was that man you where walking with the other night?" he asked and she smiled "thats my friend Hiru-sama... very nice young man him and his kitty are gunna help me with the lamps for the next little while" she said trying not to let him know that hiru was actually living with her

"ok. well ill see you during the festival next week wont i?" he said and she smiled nodding "your booth is always welcome! i love your little paper dragons! they are so adorable! and the people who come buy them up by the boat load!" she said and he smiled at her "ill be sure to make you one then" he said finishing up his drink as she smiled "that would bee lovely usagi-sama" she said as she walked him out the door. he grabbed her hand and pulled her close kissing her cheek making her turn bright red "when will you stop with such a formal title little chi-chan" he said pulling away smiling at her "see you next week then chi-chan" he said walking off and she blinked then turned and looked over at the host club instantly thinking about hiru-kun. thats true... with every male in her life she used -sama... why would she call hiru-kun... kun?

Hiko was humming having fun as he flirted with the girls and brought them tea. he walked by Hiru's cubby and blinked looking at the bento neatly wrapped "ooooh someone's got a girlfriend now eh?" he said smiling "looks like she left you a note too!" he said pointing to the little piece of paper that was folded a few times. inside it was chi's loopy writing saying "have a good day hiru-kuuuuun!' and a little panda drawn on the bottom

"eh eh who u pulled into your cloud of darkness in ehhhh Hiru-kun?" he said smiling at hiru hugging him tightly

Hiru was looking out the window seeing usagi kiss her cheek.... " Chi's boy friend hmmmn...?" he was fully anoyed for some reason....

then the comotion behind him made him turn red as hell in anyoance and anger.

getting hugged tightly made him scowle causing the girl off in the corner to gasp in suprize. " get off me Hiko you bastered..... and she isnt my girlfriend... she is just a friend. "

he grumbled taking the note and tuking it into his breast pocket were he could look at it latter...

he then walked over to his table, " Lady's! did you hear Hiko Baka chi picking on me! " the two girls giggled patting his shoulders in mock confort.

Ryo was silent for a moment. He blinked watching the scene play out between Hiru and Hiko then laughed. "S-Sorry," He said between laughs and cleared his throat to stiffle his laughter, "I'm just glad it was you that had it Marii." Marii, pretty name. It seemed to fit her character. "Ah, your an artist?" He asked and couldn't help his small embarrassment that she'd seen his work. It was just as she said, no direction..."It's good to be serious about something you like." He said then realized he was straying off topic. "Ah, well I'm free in a bit for my break. Mind if I stop by to pick it up?" He didn't want to just waltz into the maid cafe. It wasn't a place he was generally welcome since Sayuri once said Hosts pissed the manager off a bit. "We can talk about this help I obviously need."

hiko winked and looked out the window at the maid across the street "ah ..." he said but it wasnt the cute one he had seen this morning or last night "as long as it isnt one of my pretty ladies i dont mind" he said sitting down with his girls chatting it up with them before it was his lunch break and he got up and walked out walking out and into the maid cafe "hello girlies..." he said leading over the seating table looking down at the same hand writting that was on the note and he picked it up examining it "sugar eggs tissue paper.." he said reading the list off. chi ran forward and snatched her list out of his hand "why are you reading my grocery list alloud????" she said and hiko smiled "ahhh so its yooou!" he said poking her nose "eh i thought your mate just walked out... u a swinging gal?" he asked and she frowned at him "usagi-sama is my customer and friend and its non of ur business anyway! ur not alloud to mention boyfriends let alone bring them around the cafe!!" she growled and hiko smiled at her "calm down~ i just saw your note on Hiru-san's bento and it made me curious" he said and she blushed frowning "its your lunch break too right? you should go have lunch with him!" he said picking up her bento and pushing her out the door towards the host cafe as he moved sitting down at sayuri's table waiting for her to come out and see him

chi stood there with her bento gripped tightly in her hands her face red. she walked across the street and into the host club looking over at hiru with the girls in his had with a death glare on her face "why did that idiot run in and go through my stuff?" she said twitching slightly still holding onto the bento tightly still. her eyes fluttered to the girls who where staring at her and she blinked blushing and then looked at hiru

"oh... i didnt mean to interrupt... he said u where on break... im... im gunna go" she said her face flushing white and she almost dropped her bento running out of the cafe she ran by the window feeling tears roll out of her eyes for some reason

she bolted to the park again panting a shse held the bento close to her chest with both hands she dropped to her knees resting her forhead on the bench taking in deep breaths ' wow ur such an idiot... interrupting him like that...' she thought wipping the tears away before sitting up and setting her bento on the bench opeing it. everything had gotten jumbled up and squished. sighing she set her forhead back on the bench letting out an embarrased groan

Marii paused thinking... she couldnt realy leave... but she could have him come in to the managers office... while she ate lunch... " okay.. im acting as manager today so you can come over, ill just take a short reast then and i can see you in her office. "

she smiled at the thought of getting a better look at him, her idea of what he looked like was a little blury.. she was half out of it after all last night..

" is that okay Ryo?" Marii asked bitting her lip.

it was like battling the elemnts getting the two girls to let him leave... he had been begging for two minuts before Chi arived... why was chi there after all.

getting out of the seat he bowed to the girls, " sorry... i have a little lass i made a promis to. "

he ran out the door glad the girls let him leave... sure he did promis anything to any one.. but Chi looked out fo sorts.... and he didnt like that... what had her boyfriend said to make her upset...

he would kill the basterd for upsetting his little panda girl.

he found her in the park not to far form the path, " CHI! are you okay... what did he say... are you alright.... ill hurt him if i need to just say it ... "

"Sure." Ryo said almost glad to hear the manager wasn't there. "Ryo-san, why are you ignoring me. So mean." A girl who nromaly frequented Hiru's company was calling him and he still had another half hour before he was free. "Sorry Marii-chan, seems I'm a little busy at the moment. See ya in a bit." He said before he felt the phone being taken out of his hands and shut. The girl smiled, her blonde curls bouncing as she played with the phone.

Sayuri hurried through her tables for the lunch rush, hardly noticing Hiko till she realized someone was sitting at her last table. She grabbed the menu and walked up, smiling brightly. "Hello master~" She said cheerfully with a small bow to hide the fact she was a little overwhelmed from all the customers. "I'll be taking care of you today. Anything you want just ask, ne?" She laughed but then blinked, her eyes focusing on Hiko. At first she was dumb struck and stared at him. Her face then turned bright red. "H-Hiko-san?!" She stammered and a few of the customers blinked at her shock. She blushed even darker and looked back at him nervously. "What brings you here?"

Marii smiled closing Sayuri's cell and sighed.

work was over wellming today... what the hell was the manager up to... leaving only three to man the shop.

Marii quickly called some one in to cover the gap, the girl came quickly enuff... Marii was just lucky she new the game by now playing manager wasnt too hard.

"w-who?" she asked looking up and then standing brushing her dress off and looking up at hiru "w-who is he? Hiko-san? he said he read that note i left for you.. and then told me to have lunch with you and shoved me out of my own store..." she said looking down a bit embarrased

Hiko smiled "master? no no no i like Hiko-KUN much more" he said grabbing her hand lightly and pulling her into a sitting position on his lap. "im a customer. its my lunch break. so then lovely little flower, what do you recomend ?" he said his arm around her waist holding the menu so they could both see it "what is your favorite dish?" he asked smiling his eyes scanning the page

" HIKO?" Hiru started stund... Hiko... what?

" uh.... okay. " he said a puzled look on his face, " well... then why.. did you run and start crying?" he asked brushing away a tear that lingered on her cheek.

" did you boy friend say something mean to you?" Hiru shook his head feeling stuped ... why bring that up..

" never mind, " he grabed her hand and pulled her into a hug, " lets go eat lunch before my break is up kay Chi?" he asked.

for some reason... he didnt like seein gher up set for any reason...

"boy...friend?" she mumbled but his hug was so nice she felt like purring and snuggling into him which just made her blush and pull away "w-why does everyone think i have a boyfriend?" she asked rubbing the back of her neck "i dont have the time or the energy for a life outside my work... what makes people think i have the energy for a boyfriend?" she said walking with Hiru "im sorry hiru-kun... i wasnt crying because of something mean.. i just.. i thought i was burdening you at work and then i thought of how upset mrs manager would be if she saw me inside the host cafe and..." she said trying to make up an excuse other then 'you where surrounded by other girls and you where smiling'

" you... a burden... " Hiru chuckled, " never Chi... you dont have to worrie about that, i am the one living with you remeber?"

he sighed pulling her into his side, " dont worrie about the manager either kay. "

he smiled to him self, sure... she was too busy for a boyfriend, then he was the closest to her as he could ever be... but... what about the kiss.

" excuse me... " he said pausing before changing his mind, " did you still want ot eat lunch together? we dont have to eat at the host club?"

Sayuri didn't think her cheeks could get any redder, her heart could beat faster or her awkward feelings get any worse till she was suddenly in his lap and staring at the menu she'd seen for years it seemed. "I um," She looked at the other customers, begging with her eyes for someone to complain or call her over. No one did. They were all a bit too jealous and stunned by Hiko to do that. She realized she was being ridiculous. He was just a Host, she delt with their tricks before and could do it again. After all didn't they get their kicks from playing with girls emotions. "Well, Hiko-sa-I mean Hiko-kun," The firmiliarity of the title made her feel a little strange using it. Hell she'd known Ryo for year and never called him kun."I like the curry omlet but it's very spicy." She said, then cleared her throat. "You know you're getting dirty looks from half of Japan's otaku's right about now."

Ryo was more than happy to escape Ami's claws with a record time of 30 minutes and hurried from the Host cafe before he could be snatched aside again. The place shouldn't burn down even though the senior staff was now gone. He left one of the newer employees take the reigns of manager for a while. He walked into the cafe and was instanly bombarded by a young brunette with glasses. "Welcome!" She giggled and took his arm, jerking him along. She spun him round roughly and shoved him into a seat before smiling brightly. "I'm Miu! Nice to meet you-"
"Ryo. Can you please tell me where Marii is?" The girl blinked and looked a little disappointed. "Of course." She said and knocked on the manager's door.
"Marii, you have a customer asking for ya!"

Marii set her fork down and opend the door... she realy didnt want to handle a costomer right now... she was expecting some one...

she decided to tell them she was sorry but she was acting as manager ant that miu was the second best to her...

she walked out to the seat with her and smiled brightly till she remebered who he was, " Ah... Ryo?"

she giggled and sighed, " thanks Miu., Ryo please fallow me. " she lead him back to the office and sighed siting behind the desk wiht her lunch, " sorry... i needed to eat and take some medicin so i decided to take it while you came over. "

she shruged before getting his book and passing it over, " here is your book "

chi blinked and smiled "ok!" she smiled leaning against him "actually... i like eating in the park" she said smiling "come on i know a great place to get a good lunch" she said grabbing his hand again pulling him to the corner vendor smiling "hihi!" she said and the man smiled at her "why if it isnt my favorite customer... oh and you brought a friend? how lovely!" he said and she smiled nodding "tamaki-sama this is Hiru-kun" she said and then man smiled handing her one very large and freshly warm bento with two sets of chopsticks smiling "its on me ok?" he said and she smiled "ill see you at the festival!" she said grabbing onto hiru's hand again pulling him back to the park. she sat down at one of the picinic tables smiling sitting across from him she opened up the bento and handed him a set of chopsticks. there was a massive amount of food inside and she smiled "Hoshi-sama is very nice to give us such a nice meal" she said and smiled brightly taking a bite of something and she smiled brightly "mmm you gatta try this one!" she said grabbing another piece with the chopsticks holding it up to his mouth "say ahh" she said giggling slightly a light blush coming to her cheeks

Hiko smiled at her "then let them stare, they are jealous because i have a cute girl on my lap and they dont" he said and tapped his lip "i like spicey. will u bring me a plate of sayuri-chans favorite dish then?" he said loosening his grip when she got up he looked at the dirty looks he was getting and smiled brighter. he enjoyed the feeling of making it look like sayuri was his... even if she wasnt. it made him feel warm and fuzzy inside and he liked and almost needed that feeling

Hiru blushed slightly opening his mouth letting the food fill his mouth with a rich taste.

he had never had a venders Bento... " mmmn.... it is good, " he said around the morsal as he opened his chop sticks as well.

" this was a good idea. " he said smiling and picking up another peice and takeing a bite.

he was injoying this... he didnt know why... it didnt cost alot to make.... nore were they paying to sit at an expensive table...

it was just two peaple eating a cheep meal together.. and yet... it was the best meal he had had in a long long time...

chi smiled when he took the bite and took another bite herself. after a few minutes of munching and conversationg she took a deep sigh of cententment and looked at hiru smiling.

"this has been the best lunch to date!" she said without even thinking about what she had said before actually saying it. like always.

"you sure those girls will be ok with u leaving them like that?" she asked remembering his customers

Hiru had to pause at the word date... yeah...

" todays lunch is definetly the best," he answerd nutrualy, then he question about he girls poped up.

" girls... o yeah.. they are just customers after all. " he smiled.

" they just pay to have me give them a good time... its like your job kay?" he chuckled.

" i say things that make them smile and feel better about them selves... and they keep coming for that same feeling, like your costomers that feel you care for them and like to come back to relive that feeling right?" he asked hoping he was explainging things right.

"kind of..." she said and smiled "most of my customers are vendors at all the shrine festivals that like to discuse if their spots are still saved for their booths" she said and laughed "but i suppose i do have a couple that like the company" she said and smiled slightly before yawning "eh... today was really busy tho... im gunna sleep good tonight" she said laying her head on her arms after folding them on the table

"I've only knwn him for a day and already I'm sitting in his lap and serving him food." Sayuri groaned sitting on the counter in the kitchen and rubbing her temples. It had to be his overly self-confident personality that had her reacting to him the way she was. "Sayuri, shoo! I'll get the food out in a sec just go help the others with the customers!" One of the two cooks said, shooing her out with the spoon she had in her hand. She heard the door slam behind her and hurried back to working with her other customers. They all asked her questions about Hiko sooner or later, which she declined having any relationship with, and she sighed hearing another maid call out to her that the order was ready.
"Here ya go Hiko." She said placing the plate infront of him and a milk tea. "Think of it as a thank you for helping me yesterday." She made sure to put a bit of distance between them so she wouldn't suddenly end up in his lap again. She didn't think her usual cheerful maid persona, could take much more of that.

"Trust me, I owe you big for this." Ryo took the sketch book back and hesitated for a moment before sitting down in the chair across from the desk. "You go to IOA right?" He said refering to the college he'd tried to apply for the day that he found Marii. "I'm curious what type of art you're so serious about." he said not trying to pry. He was curious about Marii in general.

"What kind of art... " marii started thinking. she wanted to give him an honest answer, " i like ... expresive art.. no real lines... or true forms... just what ever comes out of you at a certain time... "

she giggled, " i like making monsers... sorta... that is what lady olivia calls them... "

she frowned, " and yeah, im a scholership student... its the only reason i can aford to go there... but i cant do anything else... art is my life.,.. though im told im very good. "

she shruged, " maby you would like to see some of my work to give you a good back ground on how to develop your own style... because... any one can draw a girl... or a tree... but only you Ryo can draw what is in your heart. "

Hiru smiled and relaxed... things wernt so bad... not at all " hey Chi.. i managed to get the week off to help you at work... but only just so. " he siad smilin feeling acompished.

hiko smiled at her taking a bite of the omlet he felt the heat rise to hsi face and he grabbed the tea gulping it down huffing afterwards

"eh... you where right... spicey" he huffed embarrassed as all get out that she had watched that

"you wouldnt happen to have anymore of that tea would you?" he asked clearing his still tingling throat

she jumped to attention sitting up smiling brightly "really?!?!?! thats great news thank you hiru-kun!!!" she said running around the side of the table and tackling him in a hug laughing

he was glad she wasnt looking at his face cuse he new it was red there for a second...

" anything for my panda girl Chi. " he said in good humor... it was true .. for some reason he couldnt resist wanting to see her smile...she wasnt like other girls... she reminded him of his mother as well.

" anything for Chi~Chan " he smiled, " but we do need ot head back... we both need out jobs.... "

she stood up and helped him up before brushing herself off and nodding

"true very very true" she said yawning again wrapping her arm around his after throwing out the disposable bento box walking with him back to the street both their work places where on "thakn you for spending lunch with me Hiru-kun" she said bowing her head slightly before leaning up and smiling at him "ill see you after work so we can walk home together right?" she asked smiling

Her words took him by surprise. Ryo thought about that for a moment relaying it once more. "That's the best advice anyones ever given me." He felt like he was seeing a bit deeper into Marii, the struggling maid, who was really the interesting artist. "Seeing sensi Marii's work would be amazing." He smiled slightly. "I'm curious about these little monsters."

Sayuri smiled despite herself and nodded quickly. She grabbed two cups and walked back over. She sat across from him and passed him his drink. "But the spice is what makes it good." she said taking a pair of chopsticks from her apron and took one of the sliced pieces. Her face lit up briefly at first taste but she swallowed and smiled brightly. "Yummy!" She sipped at her tea and glanced up at Hiko for a moment in thought before looking away again. "You have to be the most interesting customer I've had." She said playing with the rim of the cup. "Then again you probably have more than your fair share of interesting customers."
